@dick dangerously
Perhaps I went a bit overboard in assuming people who think CoDs campaigns are good don't know what good games are (even if it is usually the case). For that I aplogize.
I was trying to tip toe around my real point. The point is, your opinion does not matter. You are in the vast minority. Sorry brother. I don't apply this logic to everything, but I do with call of duty. With not very popular games such as twisted metal or warhaw...
Obviously I don't LITERALLY mean everybody. But MOST people play the game for the multiplayer.
Call of Duty needs its single player mode just as much as Dead Space 2 needs its multiplayer mode.
Sure, there are those rare few who play cod for the sp mode or ds2 for the mp mode, but the majority of the people don't play them for those modes.
And if you honestly enjoyed black ops campaign, then you need to play more games then, as th...
"Which mode then becomes the overwhelming focus, and creeps up in price while the less popular mode suffers?"
When it comes to call of duty, they should just take out the single player all together. Honestly it's always terrible and no one gives a flying Fck about it. I'd rather not have them waste their time on single player at all, and just put all the resources that would have gone into sp, go into improving mp connectivity issues.
Call...
I would buy a Vita just for Borderlands 2.
"(he suddenly mutates and gets huge and stupid) that just doesn't fit the tone of the game."
"My point isn't that it wasn't believable"
I disagree. I think andrew ryan hulking up is much more believable than spawning bees from the skin of your hands and sicking them on enemies, or teleporting enemies.
I don't mean they should get rid of his super jump, just tone it down a bit. It's a little too high.
What's wrong with Talon? I haven't fought someone using Talon in mp yet, so what's the problem with him? Are his specials overpowered? Is it way too hard to hit him? Does he have too much armor?
Axel is sort of annoying but he's not all that bad, although I do think they should increase the recharge rate of his special and make him a little bit heavier so he doesn't jump like superman.
"the last hour or two fell back on some of gaming's biggest clichés and tired ideas."
So you're saying because you had to do an escort mission (which wasn't all that bad compared to other gaming escort missions), that the ending was ruined partly because of that?
And what was so wrong with the boss battle? It's a hell of a lot better than like 80% of todays boss battles out there. I can see some people not liking it that much,...
It's because xbox 360 only owners are jealous of ps3 owners because ps3 owners are the only ones that have good games, and ps3 exclusives are always better than multiplatform games, so multiplatform games don't really matter all that much.
/telling you ridiculous, made up crap that you want to believe
Seriously though, as sidar said, every company does get an article similar to this one. The only reason you don't see much of them on this site, is...
Sounds like one of the best demos ever.
Please, someone explain to me how Bioshock had a bad ending? I honestly don't understand why people have such a problem with it.
I personally thought it was one of the best endings in a game I had ever played, and even choked up a little in the good ending.
11 agrees and no disagrees? Wow. I remember saying the exact same thing before the game came out and like 98% of the people in the article disagreed with me and kept replying with the standard "not everything needs multiplayer" and "Skyrim is a single player game, co-op would ruin it" comments.
Guess they changed their minds or something.
Meh. I wanna see the collectors edition unboxing.
EA has Dead Space, Battlefield, SWTOR, Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect, Burnout Paradise, and some other titles I can't think of right now (those are just the ones I own).
Activision has Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4, and Call of Duty World at War (that one being arguable). Oh and World of Warcraft if you count it, but personally, I don't.
EA may be some evil, greedy sons a b*tches, but at least they put out good games, which is the only reason the ...
"EA really is like Activision"
Yeah, but at least they make good games though.
"alien tec so she can gain a new Siren power"
They established the fact that every siren is born with a unique power, no one power is the same. If they could just "gain a new siren power", then the whole concept of "this is a unique and endangered race of people, each with their own unique abilities" would be pointless. This was established before Borderlands 2 was announced.
I'd like to eventually play as the original guys...
... while trying to hold back a smile.
Admit it, you smiled a little when you read that
"If you like the increasingly lacklustre (I think we are talking Heroes level of quality degredation) Walking Dead tv show"
Someone hasn't actually been watching The Walking Dead. The show is as great as it has ever been.
On topic: First the kid in the demo and now a little girl in a field? Reapers must really hate children...
I think mp trophies should be handled on a participation basis. Like play a full match of team deathmatch, get a trophy, play a full match of ctf, get a trophy, play a full match of [whatever modes they have], get a trophy.
Ones that are actually gettable when the mp has died and there are very few players left. At least those can be managed. But trophies like "get 10,000 kills" or rank up all the way should be scrapped from games that will probably not have a lot...
