@Tapani
Woah!

The game trials will be available for a select range of games and not the full PSN library, so this isn't a solution to customers wanting refunds.
@Zhipp. I was referring to the word 'creator' used in the article's headline which reduces Blackley's pivotal role in gaming history to a mere contributor - he was the catalyst. Ken Kuturagi is the father of the PlayStation and Seamus Blackley is the father of the Xbox.
@TheRealTedCruz I can't say if Insomniac was forced to work on Marvel's Spider-Man or if the studio had the option to decline the project. But I would think that as a development team there is something so alluring, so exciting, about being able to work on one of the biggest, best loved comic book franchises ever and facing the challenge of putting your own spin on it and making a great product that the public might love... or hate! The game turned out alright! It received much praise...
He’s not an ‘OG Xbox creator’. Seamus Blackley is the father of the Xbox, give him the respect.
@lelo2play. Not everything is a console war discussion! What this Obsidian exec is saying is that Microsoft wanted to buy the team and keep it intact, not, like the unnamed published wanted to do which is break it up so it could acquire the staff for pre-existing projects. So yes money is important but it isn't everything, so that's why he sold to Microsoft because it would retain his team and its culture. Sony has bought studios recently too, including Insomniac, Housemarque and Blue...
@1nsomniac I found it. You were right!
It looks incredible. Day one for me.

EA should consider calling it EA Football Association, handily the acronym EAFA has a nice ring about it!
If it doesn’t look as good as the best modded versions with raytracing that’s an excessively high price.
I’m still gonna pay it. 😬
@ThatArtGuy I haven't read what's been happening in the comics so can't comment on that, but in the two games I think Miles Morales' introduction has been great.
He wasn't written as a bratty 'kid' character like the young Kid Flash and Speedy characters who were always antagonistic towards their mentors. Instead he was introduced as a good grounded kid that Peter Parker took to helping. In the first game all you get is a bit of his origin story...
I really want this but I hope there are some noticeable visual differences beyond being upscaled to 4k, like new textures and animations.
Holy shit, the legends were true.
December could mean a Game Awards reveal with a musical performance by her. But what could it be that lends itself to having a theme tune?
What's interesting is that EA says it's 'exploring' the idea of renaming FIFA. So it may be doing this to see if there is a big negative pushback from customers, and possibly it is bargaining with FIFA itself to say the high fee it pays for licensing is not warranted.
Also, at least EA has the good sense to realise that the FIFA game is playing most in European, African and South American countries so is not alienating its audience by calling it soccah!
There's also an anniversary edition of the Duke controller, made by Hyperkin and licensed from Microsoft, it has the Share button but is wired.

The game’s been cancelled and there’s still more chance of this coming out than Star Citizen.
It's GTA III's Anniversary on 22 October and this GTA collection hasn't even been officially announced! So I'm wondering if it will suddenly drop on the day as a 'surprise'! What with PS trophy art revealed too I'm happy that there's now more evidence it's coming and it's honestly the game I'm looking forward to playing most pre-Christmas!
When console hardware is supply constrained you can see that for the console manufacturers it could be a real benefit to have people still be able to join their platforms. Of course with a game subscription service a customer might choose to end it after a few months but if they own the hardware they're likely to remain a customer for the whole generation.

Microsoft has indirectly sided with Epic. It is allowing Epic and Amazon's stores directly through Windows app store. It has said that the reason the Xbox store charges commission to publishers is specifically because Xbox is a loss making business model, and it implied that a platform that is profitable, such as the Apple app store, shouldn't be charging 30% commission.
