Stupid Kotaku! It's understandable that a person from the LGBTQ community wants to see LGBTQ fiction characters that have a positive story and happy ending. But Kotaku & Polygon writers keep making the same journalistic mistake, they criticise a creator's piece of art, a game, not for being bad but for not telling the story THEY would like to see. They did this with Detroit: Become Human too. The world of The Last of Us is not a happy world as can be witnessed in the opening and e...

@slate91 It WAS a great question! Instead of just asking with a pithy entitled complaint of a question the reporter Robert Purchese did something different. He referenced Sony's admission (which they had just talked about on stage) that in the past they had been arrogant and not listened to gamers. So the question was deftly highlighting that cross-play is an issue that Sony should be listening about!

It also does sound like Sony are genuinely looking into because Layd...

Fortnite has come and shaken up the Battle Royale genre like a rocket. It has done so well because it is free, it is available on most key formats.

PubG had everyone talking about it in 2017 and every PC gamer playing it. But Bluehole made some big mistakes. They made it a console exclusive for the platform that had the lesser market share. Xbox One owners were happy to be getting it but it left PS4 owners disappointed and they looked for an alternative.

I personally don't like this kind of 'journalism.' Yes a bad game should be called out during a review. And sure during a preview its fine to express reservations about a title for being generic or uninspired. But when you come in shouting that a game 'could be PS4's biggest flop' then your words should be based on hands-on play. If you're not then you're using negativity to get hits and it kills any hopes of professional credibility.

When every publisher was showing Ninja Theory the door it's so good that Sony had faith in the project and helped make Hellblade happen. Congratulations for one million sales! I can't wait to see what they make next.

The character faces in the E3 trailer have gone beyond the uncanny valley. It’s what helps the emotions come across so well.

Let's break this down:
* When Battlefield 1 was going to be released EA promoted it as being an accurate portrayal of WW1.
* Then when EA reveal the sequel some criticise them for it not being historically accurate because it includes women.
* EA explain it is as creative license
* Internet complainers people kick up a fuss

Ultimately Battlefield V is not a documentary, it's an 'inspired by history' game and as more fema...

FFVII remake is unlikely to come out this year that means there is no need for Square-Enix to contact retailers to ask them to make stock orders, and no need for them to send out the cover art for a, as yet, unannounced platform. The cover art is different from that on GAME UK. So most likely this is a mischievous prank from one of the staff there.

The article says "it could spell trouble for Sony if they were to lose the exclusivity of the game." The exclusive is...

I have a 50 Mb connection and when I used it for various free trials I’ve had NO lag. It also worked great for me before I upgraded and had 8Mb.

What I think is great is that you can play so many different games in a short space of time without needing to download and install them.

My two criticisms are that there are not enough of a range of games. Yes there’s some PS3 classics but I prefer newer PS4 titles. Also the price is not competitive enough for m...

'Vampyr Doesn't Suck.' Clever headline!

There are some great comments on this.

@gangsta_red I think the issue of Polygon here is that they are criticising a game for it NOT being about the subject matter they would have preferred not what the publishers said it was about. Of course there is racism in the world and there could and should be games about this. However Quantic Dreams never promoted Detroit as being about this, it was always promoted about being the story of androids in society and the prejudice they...

A lot of these official licensed controllers are using the offset stick design, obviously there is a market for it. I personally have the Hori Onyx. Come the launch of the PS5 I don't think Sony would change the iconic DualShock design but I wonder if they would ever release their own pad with that design as a separate product.

Exactly this! A delay is normally 3 months or at most 6 months. To delay for this extended period of time means they are going back to the drawing board to make some profound changes.

I loved Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and was so happy to see that Ubisoft were making a full pirate game but the reveal for Skull & Bones showed they left out the best part - the single player campaign. Sea of Thieves is a beautiful looking game but it has been criticised for havin...

After two derivative games that failed to make an impact it was inevitable, however I’m sorry to hear when any studio closes.

Maybe Cliffy B. can return to Microsoft and work on Gears 5

Does this give credence to the Walmart Canada leaks?

I don't have any facts about this so I'm not going to take sides.

Yes.

Yeah, that's the way I'm seeing it. The game definitely seems more open. I'm hopeful that there are a lot of different paths to take whilst on the open road.

Also, the timing of Game Informer's special issue makes me hopeful that it could be a surprise release for 2018 - perhaps with the reveal at E3! It might be a bit much for Sony to release two big zombie games in 2019.

We all know that after GT Sport a full Gran Turismo is coming. But considering the game hasn't been revealed yet Sony wouldn't have sent out promotional material to stores - there would be too high a risk of it being leaked. So, put this box art down to creative/BS-ing Gamestop staff!

LOL! Too stupid to even give this a serious reply.

The only thing I will say is that PETA pulled this stunt with Assassin's Creed IV when they complained about whale hunting. They do it because they know the gaming press will give them publicity - so let's not!
