Good game, good idea, the original got stale quick though. I haven't played this one, but aside from the initial shock of amazingness, I hope it doesn't falter like the first one.
Cool game, GREAT studio- but FPS is Valve's forte... IMO.
The franchise doesn't need a total reboot, it just needs to spread its wings into different plot opportunities. And like Savior said, Nintendo has never really been a total letdown with one of it's flagship brands.
I always liked the movies (unlike a lot of people) and thought the games looked cool, if nothing else. It's not like I ever expected a masterpiece. I might give this a try.
Agreed. Game does look alright though. If I had a PSP, it'd be even more interesting.
True that. I can still play the original Red Alert, but even that's a little laggy at times. Hopefully Christmas will let me rebuild, I'm lookin forward to it.
No matter what they do, it'd be impossible to make everyone happy. But I've always been looking for interaction like pulling up a friends gamertag (or a random player's)and seeing their avatar. I never use the "friends" channel, so I never really see what anyone is actually wearing....
This game is a classic and a personal favorite. But even as an adult, I never could figure out the composing program. I always stuck to the Yoshi Coloring Book page when I wanted to feel good. :)
Bubble for you too. I'm a Hennessy man, myself. I'm using my last bubble on this thread to say that, so it must be important. I <3 Hennessy. In a snifter.
What was everybody's take on the "disturbing or offensive" content from the "No Russian" airport scene mission? I personally felt like the mission was mediocre in terms of gameplay but that it's plot was essential to the overall story arc. That's the catalyst for the rest of the story in that ending scene.
Nothing about this game is broken on the 360. The PS3 had problems but it will recover as always. Absolutely right, sales does not infer quality, but quality creates sales.
This game is an FPS fan's dream game, and the franchise has rarely produced letdowns (all Treyarch, so far...). Not realizing that it's the biggest selling shooter of all time is ignoring a really well-produced game.
I'm a gaming fan. I like a good game wherever I can find it. Sometimes that...
Best selling FPS of all time. All I'm saying is that there aren't a lot of console players since Tuesday that haven't even touched this game. And that's not an opinion. Look at the numbers.
I feel for the PS3 owners who've had to deal with so many issues. Don't worry, when it gets worked out you'll be back into the GOTY. I'm personally glad the 360 launch went off without a hitch. /brag
Hard to remedy a personal choice to camp. And yea, I agree it's because of the killstreak focus. BUT, here's my take- lower the bullet power enough to balance. Players are completely disadvantaged when they are seen by a building dweller. Make it so those players on the ground can get shots off and actually damage someone in a window.
Since they took out Juggernaut, there's not balance for Stopping Power either. Regardless of how "lame" some people saw Jugg, it mad...
You're such a severe minority in that statement, it hurts my brain.... :)
Agreed. Veteran is hard though. If you want a challenge beyond just regular mode, it's worth playing. It's crazy how fast you get swamped and how few bullets you can take.
Campaign plot was epic, IMO. Very well thought, carefully executed. A bunch of good "WOW!" moments (seeing surroundings, surprise cameos, etc.)
Damage control time, right? Look, regardless of how stupid us "bots" are, and how damaged our console's inferior pebble-based processor is, we outsold because the 360 is still the shooter box. Offset sticks is FPS friendly, and I'd rather play MW2 with that type control setup than two sticks that are easier to bang my thumbs together with. Run right, look left- thumbs touch.
Full length MGS movie would be dope. Bioshock will hopefully be amazing. I'd be nice to see a Red Faction based movie- not even just because of Guerilla, but the old PC versions too. Good plotline in those games. Even the Command and Conquer story is cool enough for a movie if it was done right.
I had Swine Flu and didn't even go to the doctor because I'm a 24 year old man who can take care of his own fever and have no risk of death. Media be damned... Anyway, hilarious list!
Hmm... with Borderlands reinstilling my affections for a looting, level grinding RPG, I might be in the mood for something new...
Ahh Tony, how you've fallen from grace. Although he's kind of right- who cares what people think? He just wants more money since he's to old to do anything athletically relevant anymore...
