As a pretty neutral console fan who happens to support the 360 but recognizes the benefits (and drawbacks) to the PS3, I was frustrated for my PS3 brethren who had to lose trophies and data associated with the 2/29/10 glitch.
I also highly anticipate GOW3, despite my not being able to play it on my hardware-inferior system.

Well, it only borrows from the Mario Kart powerup/weapon system. The racing is only like MK in that they are both, well... racing. But this game is definitely a buy for me. Being that Bizarre did PGR and the Geometry Wars series, they're gaining credibility. Good for them.
Yea, you end up passing on the bad ones as you learn what they look like. I always tried to find shunt or shock, the more powerful ones. The missiles suck A LOT.

EDIT: You don't see ME crashing on Sony exclusives. I recognize the benefits and drawbacks of each console. Neither will ever dominate the market and we're BOTH continuously and painstakingly being outsold by an inferior Wii.

A solid franchise (regardless of what Sony fans blindly point out) that has ALWAYS sold well. Regardless of the haters, numbers do say something. I'll continue to support Bungie for being one of the few exclusive developers not to jump ship for the money.

Awww.... The Sony fanboys are out in full force. You don't see us crashing on Sony exclusives with no legitimate factual basis. Both consoles have positives and negatives, that will never change, regardless of your blind loyalties. Flame away..... (PS-Thanks for the read).
I always liked RTS on the PC vs on the consoles. I remember classics like Red Alert and Total Annihilation. Now that I have a functional computer again, it might be worth trying one of these, since they're system requirements are lower than high FPS shooters.
It's TOUGH, man. The final boss of the game is a higher level than you no matter what. It's worth the buy- lots of new guns and shields and other loot. But make sure you have friends who are level 50+ and willing to play with you. You will die frequently, even with friends, but it's impossible by yourself.

I like this companion to the other thoughtful piece. This issue will never go away and we are all representatives in fighting to keep free speech in our preferred art media.
It is hard, but there's a lot of draws (many of which you've mentioned). I think the music and style make for a really fun experience. The puzzles are tough, but most aren't impossible. Besides, if you get stuck, there's help on the internet. Some might call it cheating- but if that's the only way you can get through the whole game, then who can blame you?
I don't know how far you are, but it gets worse and worse. I got so stuck on 3.9 (Flame on, Sweet Prince) that I had to walk away for awhile. I'm sure most people won't be able to beat this game 100% without using some sort of walkthrough, but there's no way I'll be able to write it, since I can hardly beat some of the levels myself.
Cuz that "GOW 3 is awful" post is gonna set a record for most stealth disagrees EVER.
