Twisted Metal is a good comparison. And I always dug the mini racing games with super arcadey elements. I'll try the trial, and give my thoughts after that. But games like these are a dime a dozen, and hopefully this does something sellable and different.

I glanced at your comments and you seem to express pretty strong "pro-Sony" sentiments, so I must be doing something right on here if you noticed it. Lol.

Regardless of how I personally feel, which is pretty neutral- it's crazy how populated n4g is with PS3 loyalists. I wonder what the ratio is for ownership on n4g- 4:1 PS3?

I honestly don't think Microsoft cares if it sells in Japan. That's sad for a business, but they realize they can't compete in a country that is great at recognizing (and creating) the best hardware components in the world. So why bother?

I'm not supporting that take if that's how they see it, but it is true that their sales are significantly better in other countries.

And the fact that their sales are down from last year attests to the established ownership alread...

I'm with stoppre on NBA Jam. Every residence I've occupied since I moved into college has had an oversized "Jam Board" where my friends and I tracked wins. It had hundreds of total games played.:)

...and I've been completely satisfied with my console, despite its inferior hardware (obviously) and flawed production mechanics (obviously).

There are multiple games that I would absolutely love to play on the PS3. Uncharted, GOW3, LBP, and THE definitive MLB series. Despite my allegiance in ownership to my 360, I do desire to play many of these series.

But here's the kicker, I don't find either brand completely superior. I appreciate both for their positives...

Smash Bros. indeed. :)

I don't mind that it draws inspiration from AA. That's a great game. And the people that are saying this is casual have generally played as much as we've played- 10 minutes or less of a demo version. We don't know how serious the alert protocol will be, how threatening or intelligent the AI will be, or how deep the stealth mode will go and how easily it will be disrupted.

I think Ubi realizes that Double Agent wasn't particularly well-received, so they would appear to be ste...

My writing that it was available on PSN was obviously flawed. Pardon my confusion: EVERY Splinter Cell game other than this one has been available on a Sony console eventually(either PS2 or 3). I didn't even think about the fact that most of those were Microsoft exclusive for at least a year.

Instead of a closed comment, why don't you create an open-ended discussion? That's why these forums are here.

What didn't you like? How is this more "casual" than Double Agent or Chaos Theory. I know these games have generally paled compared to the first one, but they haven't fallen off completely.

And Ubisoft has been onboard for them all, so they didn't just ruin Conviction. If you think that, you have to blame them for ALL the games together....

Hard to believe the same developer was responsible for Inferno Pool. Good for DED to be moving up in the world of devs and expanding their portfolio.

Seeing this data really makes us wonder "why?" I stand by my 360 but realize that I'm missing out on some really GREAT exclusives (Uncharted, LBP, GoW, MGS). There are exclusives for each system that are system-breakers and make people buy that particular system, and there are ones that come along for the ride. Racing games (despite their power) aren't worth buying a system for unless you're a die-hard racing fan. And in that respect, Forza vs. GT is no contest.

Uncharted 2 is a GREAT game. But the reason for the difference in sales between exclusives says something about the install base, and the title loyalty of console owners. I've always felt that 360 owners were more likely to go out and buy the next hot title, IMO because PS3 owners have titles that offer more replayability (so they don't need a "new" game as often). That's just my opinion, but it is interesting to see this broken down.

The handheld market is so diluted these days. I sold my DS because I never played it, but I always wanted a PSP. Hard to choose, considering excellent titles for each.

I wasn't super-impressed with RE5, but I did enjoy it. I can't see myself buying DLC for it, but that's not to say it wouldn't be well done. Thanks for the review.

This game reminds of Alone in the Dark and Indigo Prophecy. I'm really excited for it.

It's sad that this turned into a "name your exclusives" comment war. There's lots of good games for both consoles that aren't exclusives. Borderlands, sports games, Bioshock 2... These articles always bring out the people who are so overly opinionated, they have to make sure everyone else hears (and chokes) on their opinion.

Dictionary.com- "opinion". Read it Sony supporters. Please. Read and try to understand what it means, and how by human nature, we...

Glad to see pretty equal representation from both the Bots and Droids here. 360 owners- we see "Xbox" in an article title and flock together to make sure n4g doesn't forget that it is SUPPOSED to be a neutral gaming site that has unfortunately become incredibly biased in its fan support.

He didn't like the game, so he said so. He called it "rubbish" but it's pretty obvious that's just his opinion. I can call Call of Duty 4 "rubbish" but that doesn't make it a bad game. Quite the opposite, it makes me look like a serious minority for not liking a game that is so massively popular.

You have to admit, there's games that some people like that others would never dare play. Regardless of their hype and Metacritic score, there's always someone wh...

Cuz Sony, stoppre, I repeat- SONY determines what's in the constitutional rights of each US citizen. And if not the parent company directly, then their legions of die-hard fans determine it on n4g for ALL to read and fear.
