Can we put aside the fanboyism for a second? I understand this was written by the PS3 editor, but I'm not sure that is any excuse.
Can anyone on this site, honestly, from the bottom of their hearts say that Virtua Tennis looks better than GOW? I know half the people on here hate the 360, but to say that the tennis game has graphics that outshine GOW is insane.
Can't wait until the console is infected with viruses, online is unplayable due to exploits and our consoles get bricked thanks to hackers.

Please show me one example of A MICROSOFT REPRESENTATIVE EVER sayitng the systen would include HD-DVD. Just one. Don't quote some random blog or piece of IGN speculation...show me where someone from MS ever, ever said HD-DVD would be included.

Just because someone posts an article you disagree with does not make them a fanboy. In the real world of adults, especially one where an analyst lives and dies by his reputation, the idea that a professional analyst would fail to correctly do his job because the PS3 "R0x0rz!" or whatnot is absurd.

"Buggy" software, if that is the case, cannot magically make hardware overheat...the hardware itself is the problem. It does not matter how inefficient my code is, the hardware is an independent entity. Sure, maybe my inefficient code may be more taxing, but are developers supposed to follow some sort of "don't push the hardware too hard" creto. Did anyone blame the MS overhe...
Where is the article about the 360 1080p games? Could someone repost it or point it out?
Already been posted, and this isn't "gameplay." It may be "in-engine" but it certainly doesn't represent anything playable.
You may rather get DMC4 versus Warhawk at launch, but you might as well want MGS4...

For those fanboys that don't seem to get the point of this article, I'll try and boil it down.
It was not about HDMI.
It was not about whether or not you think the PS3 will "r0x0rz".
It was not about the quality of games.
It in NO WAY was about PS3 versus 360.
It is not about whether or not there are any "native" 1080p games.
This was a financial analyst commenting on the poor decision for Sony to drop prices prior ...
You've got to be kidding me...why do I even bother. sigh.
I'be noticed something about virtually all the PS3 game screenshots posted today. Does anyone else notice that the character graphics and background graphics just don't seem to have the same quality? Look at the last screenshot on the right, the characters look somewhat pasted into "muddy" backgrounds. Especially noticable in the Lair screenshots, where the dragons look awesome but the game world looks like garbage.
Maybe I'm wrong...but something just doesn'[t sit righ...

360, $29,800 yen with Blue Dragon as a pack in.

Actually, the idea that consoles are always sold at a loss is somewhat of an urban legend. The only console that has been confirmed to create an instant loss was the original XBOX...although speculation abounds as to the PS2. Prior to this all consoles (especially the Nintendo ones) were sold at a marginal profit.
How is "marketing strategy" great when it effects the short (and potentially long) term profitability of your company?
This is AN ADDITIONAL $100 loss per Japanese console compounded on top of whatever loss they were taking. For the lauch window alone in Japan this represents an ADDITIONAL TEN MILLION DOLLAR LOSS! Expand thigs out 6 months+ and you are easily looking at an ADDITIONAL ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLAR LOSS.

I voted lame. It has nothing to do with the video or Motorstorm but with the garbage article submission. When you submit a NEWS story, it isn't just another post...it is supposed to be factual, interesting so that people will want to read the article and present a summation of the article in a concise format.
The fact that the author felt it necessary to include "Sony is right, next gen starts when SONY says so. " represents one of the most flagrant examples of fanboy...
Not to mention that they changed (however slight) the architecture of the core system to include HDMI sometime in the past few months. Not exactly confidence building Sony. Maybe you should finish the hardware sometime soon?
