THese may be photoshopped, but the organization of these screens is way better than the current nightmare. Please use this MS!
There is no reason, other than to ignite flame wars, that this article should appear on both the 360 and PS3 side. It is about the PS3 version of the game, and thus should be on the PS3 side.
WHEN the game comes out, and an article is written comparing the FINAL GAME, one where we can all go to the store and validate with our own eyes, then we can debate.
Right now this is so absurd it is ridiculous. We are sitting here interperating what a journalist already ...
"However, Hirai said that a tilt-control-enabled controller coupled with rumble technology would be too pricey for many customers."
You mean like a $600 console? ;)
I'm genuinely excited about the wii controller. I may get bored after a short time, but the possibility of greatness is too good to pass up.
Mart mentioned the Sidewinder, which I had and despised. It just seemed pointless. The PS3 controller may someday become good at controlling certain games, but the controller is just after 1080p on the list of features that I, personally, could care less about. It just doesn't seem to excite me like the wii does.
Anyone ...
Which seems more likely to be true:
A) The playstation can be controlled with the psp (while submitting video signal), using a bi-directional Wi-Fi interface to transmit your control over a race car travelling at 200mph plus.
B) You can transmit special content to the psp and play it on a psp.
I know "A" sounds cool, but you've got to admit "B" is MUCH more realistic given the current state of wi-fi.
Are we to post a "news story" every time there is a "good deal" on eBay? Guess what? Ebay offers discounts!
Game X on sale at national retailer Y is a news story because hundreds of thousands of people, if they choose, can run out and buy the game at the sale price. Ebay, by its very nature, has distinct prices, limited numbers and disparate sellers.
I would just be hugely surprised if the mods don't pick up on this relatively basic fact before th...
...that no one has commented on this yet. I guess I'll pick up the slack:
This article is a link to ebay! Yep, that is it...an eBay link. "The Rock" saw prices on ebay and wrote a one sentence summary that links to this article. I know you are looking for more, but it does not exist. Do we get cookies for posting stories? Is that why this crap still ends up in the pending news?
It really looks silly when you agree with your own posts...you aren't fooling anyone.
...and tell me which platform the _next_ (i.e. NEW) Ninja Gaiden is going to be on...
First, "Gametrailers.com have new GOW trailers!"
If you are going to bother posting stories, please take the time to learn some basics of the English language...tenses especially. "Gametrailers.com HAS..."
Also, and I hate to do this to a 12 year old, but it looks REALLY tacky to be the first post to bash a game fanboy-style when you submit the article.
Does anyone else notice that a lot of the fanboys (on both sides) tend to...
Also, given that this is the p.c. trailer, I imagine the idiots just stuck "PS3 Trailer" on the p.c. version to get more hits. If you look at the site this came from you can see that they stuck all the x06 footage under PS3 and even labeled it as X06.
I'm REALLY not slamming the PS3 on this, I'm sure the PS3 can run this game easily, I'm just saying that since this is a carbon copy of the PC trailer and there are no PS3 marks anywhere on it, it is very probably just ...
"Don't know what this game is, looks mabye aimed at kids, "
It is a squad based shooter (potentially) included as part of Half Life 2. It has a different graphic style, but it is BY NO MEANS "aimed at kids."
2 seconds of research and you could have found this out and created a slightly better summary than "Ummm...don't know what this game is."
The press release says EXCLUSIVE CONTENT. Given that this conent isn't due for completion until 2 months after the release of the game, I'd love to see how they are going to put it on a disc...
Actually, this is ridiculous...why am I even bothering arguing with 13 year olds?
<Jaw Drops to Floor>
Incredible because the graphics (espcially the volumetric lighting on the world) are some of the best I have ever seen. Ever.
</Jaw Drops to Floor>
Funny because this was shown at an Intel Conference...even though the 360 processor comes to us courtest of IBM's PowerPC. :)
Back to my first point.
<Jaw Drops to Floor>
Ever.

Everything seemed perfectly normal with the Eidos release until I reflected on one of the quotes:
"This is consistent with our policy to launch titles on a new platform when the platform reaches a commercially viable installed base..."
Given that Tomb Raider launched on the 360 in April, six or seven months after release, why are there no PS3 releases planned until 2008?
Either somebody is seriously behind schedule in their development (m...
...OFF A VIDEO!!!??? Before the fanboys begin the smack talking, please bear in mind that the are basing their opinion of "underwhelming gameplay" off of ONLY the SAME VIDEO we have seen online.
Give me a freakin' break.
I experienced the closed-door E3 demo and it was a BLAST, as many others who ACTUALLY PLAYED THE GAME have stated.
Wikipedia:
The word complement (with an e in the second syllable, not to be confused with a different word, compliment with an i) has a number of uses. Generally a complement of X is something that together with X makes a complete whole; that supplies what X lacks.
So, do I take it from your summary that each PS3 comes with a Ferrari, or do you mean that we need to purchase a Ferrari to complete the system?
Threading is, in simple terms, when you break apart chunks of code so that they can be run "simultaneously" on the same processor, improving the theoretical performance and efficiency of certain types of code.
That said, I don't think the last statement necessarily referred to the 360, but to both next-gen colsoles.
I think what they meant was. The 360 version is focusing on achievments, as we have yet to recieve information from Sony on this aspect, b...
I think you are both correct. I really was just getting fed up with what I viewed to be a trend towards rather poor game journalism by the "major players." It seems to me that they are really the ones fueling the fire and I made a stupid comment.
That said,
The article gave NO conclusion whatsoever regarding future consoles.
I think the game is actually great news for the PS3. I for one love the game and am looking forward to it.
That it probably isn't the best idea to attack people IN the thread where they discussed bubbles being reduced, right
