First of all, we're looking at a select sample and extrapolating to be ALL "PS3 fans" and second, this appears to be just some blogger who made up quotes. I'm not saying that a portion didn't love the PS3, but I am SO sick of seeing random quotes and attributing it to a success. Some of us are 360 fans. I like my 360 but I am very interested in the PS3. I enjoy learning about the console very much and love to keep up to date. When I have an opinion, such as "game x doesn't look very good" or "I think this was a lousy decision", I state it.

I have the 360 tennis game and I honestly never play it because I find the loading times to get to matches/practices take too long. If BlyRay indeed has a worse loading problem than DVD (and there is no reason to doubt this) I would really like to see if this game suffers from the same issue...
What irks me is that it seems that some of these reasons this game is hyped for looking so good is that it is 1080p.
What I _really_ want to see is what this (or any PS3 game) looks like on a standard definition television, which is how most of the world will be seeing this (and all ps3 games). What everyone seems to forget is that one of the most important parts of the next gen consoles is how good things look when things are displayed on normal televisions. A bad downsampling...

OK, I understand at this point we're all under the "well, that's just ol' Ken" spell, but this guy really needs to be let go. After his TGS talk, and countless lies and competitor attacks, I really don't want this guy in charge of anything anymore.

I agree. Unfortunately, this really all depends on us. If we spend a fortune on the downloadable stuff, it will obviously carry over. If we don't buy any, then they will realize no one wants it. PLEASE don't buy the downloadable version of the game or spend a fortune on downloadables, for the sake of all gamers on all systems!
A little off topic, but I just got finished watching the IGN TGS podcast and I had a question. We all know that IGN has a pretty serious PS3 bias, and I know think I understand why after listening to the podcasts and watching the show. Unfortunately, Microsoft crippled their sales, at least in the short term, with the announced Blue dragon pack-in with the price drop. Since BD is probably one of the most sought after 360 games in Japan, I expect most Japanese gamers to wait until December when the game is finished and included for free.
So this is a racing game that comes with no tracks and no cars...think about that for a second.
They should totally release Duke Nukem Forever TODAY. They could just announce that "unlockables" like levels, characters and guns will be available for download (for a price) any day now...
