Not trying to rain on Crackdown's parade(because i think the game looks great & great concepts), but what happens to Crackdown's multiplayer during a possible DDoS attack?
Yeah, deals for CoD aren't for just 1 year…I'll bet those kind of deals are 4-5 years at the minimum and for the whole generation at the maximum. And I think this is a generational thing. And most people have converted from 360 to PS4…Now some of those people may have gone back and got an XB1 as well, but its not like they're ditching their PS4's
Its great to see Xbox One maturing to be on par with the PS4. But no matter what state the Xbox One came out in, they weren't going to lockdown the US and UK market like last gen. They probably would have been competitive, but not lockdown. The biggest reason why the 360 locked down the regions that it did was because it came out 1 year earlier & $100+ cheaper…Those 2 advantages were never going to happen this generation.

I tend to believe the 1st comment over this comment because he had no reason not to tell the truth. Whereas this comment seems like it more Square Enix back-tracking. No to mention its in Square Enix's better interests to say Xbox One has the better optimized version since Microsoft is the exclusive marketing partner

This Gamescom for Microsoft was really good. But they didn't have that knockout punch like I thought they'd have. The 3 games we knew would be there were great & the backwards compatibility was good too. But the only new major exclusive we heard was Halo RTS. And what I see happening with Xbox are annual releases of their core franchises.
I believe we'll see a Forza, Halo & Gears game every year for the rest of the gen...

"you can kind of tell if a game is going to be good or not" -- Plenty of games come out that are good that don't reach GOTY standards. And there are plenty of games each year that few notice before launch that end up top GOTY nominees (Shadow of Mordor 2014, Bloodborne 2015).
So while I think Quantum Break looks great, talk of GOTY 2016 in early August 2015 seems a bit of a reach

You can tell a potential GOTY without ever playing it yourself? Don't get me wrong, the game does look awesome. But I think people should reserve GOTY predictions for games they have actually played
Again I would like to reiterate that nobody is questioning your right or ability to purchase the device. People are questioning your 100% commitment to purchasing a device, day one, that nobody outside of Microsoft knows much about.
I think the disagrees are more about your commitment to purchase a device (Day One) when little to no gaming information is known about that device. Now if you personally have non-gaming uses for HoloLens, cool. But as far as gaming, other than Minecraft, nobody knows any real info on how HoloLens will be implemented.

I agree…I also find it amazing that so many people are taking what Sony says out of context. Sony is indeed focusing on 3rd party partnerships for this holiday. But the people suggesting less 1st party Sony games for this generation have to explain what the developers at all these 1st party Sony studios(Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Sony San Diego, Sony Santa Monica, Sony Bend, Sony London, Sony Japan, etc) will be doing for the next 4 to 5 to 6 years.

First of all, the troll had it coming. Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house. In other words, don't talk s*** if you got embarrassing stuff out there. As far as the picture itself is concerned, "a picture of a guy being silly with friends doesn't mean anything" - I guess me and you just came up in different times & different places because I wouldn't take shots at nobody if I had that picture floating out there of me.
As much as I'd LOVE for Sony to have an on-stage presentation at every conference & I do think that Microsoft can try to capitalize on having the only (of the 3 platform holders) on-stage presentation. I don't think Sony is going to loose much foothold. Since GamesCom is 5 days long they'll get plenty of coverage from the floor (media outlets will still be able to try games out & interview developers, etc.)

Gears 4, RotTR, and Quantum Break are all liner games which makes it easier to obtain these kind of graphics & weather physics. Horizon is open world with no loading screens (which is way more difficult to obtain that level of graphics & weather physics)
In summary, Horizon:Zero Dawn (based on it being open world) is way more graphically impressive than Gears 4, RotTR & Quantum Break (based on them being linear)
I can't wait for this game…And NX Gamer's tech analysis is just getting me more pumped...

Yeah this article suggests Sony won't be at GameCom at all, and thus the theory behind the author's premise is flawed.
On a side note: I can't wait to see Horizon at Gamescom…That game is unbelievable.
