@BakPAin
Who's worried about sales. I took 2 minutes to give my observation. And I'm not debating whether or not the deal is good. I'm just explaining my opinion as to why the deal is in existence.
@ocelot07
I agree that Xbox doesn't have a deal for Dark Souls 3…But since it was at Xbox's presser I think its safe to say that at this point in time, Sony doesn't have a deal for Dark Souls 3 either.
So I used that game as an example of a neutral game that the Pub/Dev decided to use the PS4 as the to demo the game
@Brotard
I pointed out Dark Souls 3 as an example of a game where its clear that Sony doesn't have a deal (since it was at the Xbox presser). And yet the game is still demo'd on a PS4.
In other words, the hardware that publishers & developers are choosing to use is very telling since they are trying to put their best foot forward with their demos on the E3 show floor.
The PS4 is becoming most Publisher & Developer's console of choice when demo-ing their games. It was pretty interesting that Bandai Namco showed Dark Souls 3 at Xbox's presser but showed the game on PS4 on the show room floor.
Its Xbox co-opting PS4 bundles. I don't know if it will get them June's NPD though. I mean they had Witcher 3's exclusive marketing & advertising and that didn't help them beat PS4 on the hardware or Witcher 3 software side.
As far as June NPD's hardware, I think the Batman Bundle will be too much for XB1 to over come.
As far as June NPD's Batman:AK's software…This deal might make it very, very close. But I think this partic...

While I don't believe it will be a Minecraft machine, the narrow FOV will severely hamper the video game capabilities of HoloLens. That doesn't mean there won't be a bevy of other good uses. But for gaming…Yeah pretty limited
Since this single player will be more open then the typical, linear Action/Adventure I can understand this decision. Not only that, but typically in single player, after fighting off bad guys, you can stop & look around ("smell the roses" so to speak). Whereas in multiplayer, you can't really just stop and look around AND milliseconds count a lot more.
@spicelicka
"Tomb raider because it doesn't conflict with any other games on xbox." That statement is only relevant if your ONLY going to buy exclusives. There is no way Tomb Raider isn't going to take a hit coming out the same exact day as Fallout 4
As far as E3 goes I think people are taking some of the facts out of proportion. The fact that Microsoft showed some bigger budget 2015 exclusives (with more bigger budget 2015 exclusives to show at GamesCom) is ONLY due to the fact that they've held all their bigger budget games till after E3. This doesn't excuse the fact that Sony has a meager 2nd half of 2015, because it is meager. But I like Sony releasing games when they're done, not holding games until holiday just to try...
Mass Effect Andromeda
Fallout 4
Horizon Zero Dawn
Uncharted 4
Battlefront
Shenmue 3
TLG, FF7, Shenmue 3, Uncharted 4, HORIZON…Yup, horrible conference
CAN'T WAIT!!!! (in my best Bart Scott voice)
First of all nobody's saying Sony is the authority on VR. Its that Morpheus is specifically designed with PS4 hardware in mind ( and the PS4 was designed with VR in mind), whereas OcRift was never designed with Xbox One in mind. While OcRift will be AWESOME on PC, VR on XB1 will be quite a bit more tricky. Even with Win10/Dx12 upgrades, there is no way XB1 can match even the minimum PC specs needed to run OcRift (minimum PC specs shown here: 4019d ago 11 agree5 disagreeView comment
@Concertoine
You do realize that XB1's year-over-year June sales will probably be noticeably down for the exact same reason that May's year-over-year sales were up, right.
I mean, they won't have nearly the same amount of May "lay-overs" in 2015 that they had in 2014.
(btw, PS4 is probably going to win June's NPD since all those Batman preorder Bundles that were selling out in April won't count until June 23rd…An...
Hate to throw a wet blanket on this Phil Spencer love fest BUT...
The reason why Xbox One sales are up 81% from May 2014 is because Phil Spencer, himself, shot May 2014 sales in the foot by announcing Kinect-less SKU in early May (that wouldn't actually start till early June)…Thus killing Xbox One sales in May 2014
Sorry…I know, I know, I'm going to get 1 million disagrees on this comment, but its technically true...
Damn you :) …I was about to call that very thing
If Rift ONLY streams XB1 games then thats going to be an expensive streaming device. If they can start doing VR games on XB1 then thats huge…But they won't be able to just move Rift PC VR games to XB1 because the XB1 hardware is nowhere near the minimum PC specs for Rift. So they'll have to seriously downscale the games to go from PC VR to XB1 VR
"Cross play VR games, anybody?" -- Did you happen to see the minimum PC specs for Rift…No way they'll get the same games to run at the same performance on XB1
I don't think Xbox fanboys will say VR is the future. But they will have to stop claiming that putting something over your face looks stupid & is garbage.
@-Foxtrot & all others
I was a bit in doubt a couple months back but the more Crystal Dynamics & Microsoft choose their words, the more I see it coming to PS4. I know some will say "other platform" could only mean PC but Microsoft is trying to bring PC gaming back to the fore, so why wouldn't they acknowledge a PC version (if that is all it is)? Not to mention Capcom showed everybody how to describe an exclusive with Street Fighter 5 a couple weeks ago...
