"Both are extremely trash this month. But if you haven't played Limbo then that's a treat and SoTN is a classic, but old." - @gangsta_red
Both are extremely trash???…And "Limbo"???
OH…I GET IT…Of course you think its "trash this month"…You don't even know what games everybody else is talking about.
I agree that its not new…BUT…in all the talks about the new gimmicks and what may or may not be the new fads…
Its good to hear Sony is going to keep going with its bread & butter strategy
@ziggurcat - "this is the problem I have with this kind of game - people spend too much time recreating something rather than taking the time to make something original."
How exactly do you have a problem with something you're not spending time making…or don't have to play in the game???
In other words…Don't play it if you don't want to…Skip it & find some original creations
With Death Stranding dropping in Nov of 2019 & Jason Schreier reporting that The Last of Us 2 will be in 2020 (source: https://twitter.com/jasonsc... ), its my belief that within this generation:
PS4 will have7 GOTY contenders (BB, UC4, HZD, GoW, Spider-Man, Death Stranding & TLOU2) (8 if U include P5)…spanning 6 consecutive yrs!!!
@Tekolie - "What does Sony, MS and Nintendo provide via their paid for service that is better than what is made available for free on PC? There isn't one feature that's unique or better than what is available for free on the PC."
Answer: It comes down to several different factors (2 examples)…
1) Convenience: Everything (matchmaking, party chat, etc) is under 1 roof.
2) The PS+ games: Now this is subjecting & while you and others may ...
@Tekolie - "Yes. They were free last gen so they can be free this gen and for the next."
But there's a "You get what you pay for" aspect here…
Last gen when PSN was free, the service went down far more than it does this gen…And it also has far less scheduled maintenance (aka scheduled down time). You can't expect the same quality for free.
And as far as you thinking "we need to get the gov't to ban ...
Ex PlayStation America Boss Jack Tretton: "Their [Sony's] business model obviously worked well for them the last time around, and it doesn’t look like they’re going to deviate from that."
(source: https://venturebeat.com/201... - sentence 3 from question 12)
PS4 is going to be the 3rd best selling [Dedicated Gaming Device] ever (PS2=155M, Nintey DS=154M…..PS1=102M)…PS4 will beat PS1
PS4 will be 2nd best selling [Home Console] ever (PS2=155M….PS1=102M)…PS4 will beat PS1
(just pointing out the clear, yet subtle distinction)
My guess is the TellTale GOT will be in GamePass (if it hasn't been already…is it, or has it been in GamePass???)
Well PlayStation has historically has more exclusives (and higher rated exclusives) than Xbox…and also...more multiplatform games than Nintendo.
I think its that sweet spot that will will keep PlayStation in the cat bird seat for the next generation (as it pertains to the 3 big console makers).
The other thing that can't be overlooked is that the vast majority of console gamers bought most of their 8th gen games on PS4…And since all next gen consoles will be ba...
@Casepb - "Fighting games aren't all that popular these days" - Really? Because the previous fighting game, Jump Force (who's name ID is nowhere near Mortal Kombat's name ID), did pretty good when it released
Jump Force debuted at #2 on NPD (North America) [source: https://venturebeat.com/201... ]…
...and ...
Of course Xbox's very own definition of their "4K Ultra HD" tag includes: Native 4K, Checkerboarding, and/or Dynamic Resolution (source: https://news.xbox.com/en-us... ). So as of now, we have no clue which of the 3 this game is.
@Sophisticated_Chap - "Both Microsoft and Steam are under attack like never before."
I find it interesting that you think Microsoft is "under attack" for a policy (timed exclusive content)…that Microsoft, themselves, perfected last generation and into the beginning of this generation.
Is the author of this article really still claiming PUBG is NOT available on PS4 in 2019???
…Clearly the author is not up to date on current gaming...Result: Article IGNORED
Yeah…I got to World Tier 4 completely solo as well…
I do get how some will have huge challenges playing the game solo. Since I made my main build around staying in cover (Core Gear Talents: Berserk on chest, Patience on knee pads…Core Weapon Talent: Ranger), I didn't have a crazy difficult problem.
But again, I get why some people do
Can somebody tell me how Reason 5 ("New game studio acquisitions will change the exclusive landscape going forward.") is a reason to buy an Xbox One instead of a PS4……in 2019???
(are there exclusives that these new studios are dropping in 2019 that I don't know about???)
@gangsta_red
PS4's offering could be better with back compat…But its still better than Xbox One's offerings
Here's how: Both are offering 4 games playable on current gen consoles (2 AAA & 2 indie games)…
For PS4 the 2 AAA games are: For Honor & Hitman 1; while the 2 indie games are: Gunhouse & Rogue Aces
For Xbox One the 2 AAA games are: Assassin's Creed: Rogue & Star Wars: Jedi Acade...

PS4 ATTACH RATE IS ALMOST 2X THE SWITCH ATTACH RATE (linked proof below)
@G3ng4r - "50+% of switch owners bought Mario, Zelda, Smash and Mario kart. Most sony exclusives fail to reach ten million sales, troll harder." - Based on the fact that the Switch's attach rate is currently at 5.07 games per console…most Switch owners ONLY bought the 4 games you mentioned (and 1 other game)
As of Dec 31, 2018: PS4 attach rate = 9.56 games per console…8...
It could be August's PS+…But take that with a grain of salt b/c it could also be a free weekend (or full week) trial for PS+ members.
I've seen some people say it could be EA Access…And while I get that theory b/c both games are EA, they wouldn't have the + Free symbol next to both games if it were EA Access, b/c EA Access and PS+ wouldn't be connected
