Nice! That could be helpful with certain genres. I'd probably leave notes for people if I could.
Indeed. I'd get one of those in a snap. I'll let myself out.
MS barely knows how to appeal to Americans, and they're constantly getting bested by their competitors in their home turf. I'm not all that surprised that things like language support haven't been a priority for them.
I think the issue has far has less to do with how well the PS5 is promoted, and more to do with how underreported humanitarian crises are. Of course, when they do get promoted, it's usually in the context of a scam charity trolling for money. They tell you they're using it to help people in poorer countries, but I for one have never followed the money to see where it actually goes.
Regardless, this story barely has anything to do with the PS5, so I'm not sure ...
I really enjoyed 13 Sentinels! I love Vanillaware though.
I got disagrees for that? Lulz. I guess there are retro enthusiasts around here who prefer that older game design. I personally prefer difficulty to be more organic, but to each their own.
Agreed. I've come to despise infrequent checkpoints and the need to restart the entire game if I fail enough times. In hindsight, that's not actually real difficulty, because once I've proven I can get past a certain point of the game, I shouldn't have to demonstrate I can do it again.
No, I just want to get to the part that I was having difficulty with. Properly designed difficulty can still present a challenge, even without requiring the player to hav...
I agree that there was a general inexperience regarding how to effectively design a game compared to more modern times, simply because videogames were a much newer thing, and there were far fewer examples of games to draw upon when deciding how to design one.
Of course, there was also the fact that games were far shorter due to hardware limitations, and publishers didn't want someone to just rent their game and beat it in a weekend. So, games were made difficult to art...
Nice! I already have a Switch, but if I didn't, I'd want this one. Maybe they can release a Switch Lite in this red too.
Maybe I'll push myself to continue suffering through these games, as there's something that keeps drawing me back in spite of how much of a slog they are to get through. But, I've already finished the games in this collection, so I for one don't need it. My next one to play through is Pizzeria Simulator. I tried a bit of it but just couldn't understand the logistics to get through Night 2. Maybe I'll give it another shot after I play through other games that intere...
I'm assuming that's in response to the trick devs and publishers pull of releasing whatever trash, putting it on sale for anywhere from $0.01 to something else ridiculously low, and then enjoying increased sales due to their game being on the bestseller list.
I'm also assuming the new minimum will be a bit higher for the Canadian price. I guess this will also reduce how much shovelware I inadvertently fill my memory card with because it's so cheap, so tha...
Agreed. I own four Limited Run releases so far, but I need to really like the game to want them as it's bloody expensive between the shipping, taxes and exchange rate. Also, it takes forever for our purchases to ship. But, I'd also be lying if I said they don't make great collector's editions. They're definitely worth it in the end.
I think the Vita is a highly underrated system, but given what it goes for now, and that there are very few exclusives, I would have a hard time recommending one to someone who doesn't have one. As someone who has owned one since it was common, I can say that it's definitely worth keeping around. But, the Switch has also since filled its niche in the industry, and then some.
Interesting. I already own this game. It's...alright. I think this story is more interesting than the actual game, but I suppose it entertained me for the time it took me to play through it.
In a world where Cyberpunk 2077 somehow sells 13 million copies, that sure says a lot. I played through 13 Sentinels and loved it, so it's a travesty that it hasn't sold more. I guess it is the criminally underrated Japanese game of 2020. There were two such games I felt similarly about in 2019, but it still grinds my gears when something so excellent is overlooked. I hope 13 Sentinels ends up being a sleeper hit, because more people need to play this game.
My main issue with devices like this is, you can get a lot of these games and then some on your system of choice for a lot less. If you like Street Fighter, the latest collection will get you all of the included SFII games, plus much more. Unless you're getting all the content from the console releases (which seems highly unlikely as these are probably the arcade versions), there's nothing here Street Fighter wise that you need this overpriced paperweight for.
If ...
I thought about subtly trolling Nintendo by putting up a Dreams logo in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but then I realized I bought Animal Crossing instead of Dreams, and decided that I clearly don't believe that strongly in what I was going to advocate against (Nintendo's insistence that it's not ok for Nintendo characters to be used in Dreams projects while Sony's perfectly ok with Sony characters and such being referenced in Animal Crossing). Also, I could barely create a ...
That's how things seem to work these days. Companies build hype trains by not only announcing games, but by slowly announcing more details overtime, and yes, announcing that they will be announcing more details. I'm sure some company somewhere at some point has announced when they will announce when they plan to announce more details for their upcoming game. Hype train!
Most of this is over my head, but I guess it's not as simple as higher numbers = better performance. It's all about optimization. This is why I don't care about teraflops or any other numbers thrown out. What I care about is how games actually look and run. I know there's a lot of math behind how all of that works, but because I don't understand most of it, I only care about the end result. If a company says their system has a lot of teraflops, cool. They can then pr...
I'd be up for replaying the good Mass Effect games on a system I actually use in this day and age, so sign me up.
