That's business for you. Oftentimes, if a company can gain more than the damages they will have to pay in lawsuits, they will do it anyways. At least in Valve's case, no one's life is in any danger. I've heard of cases of car manufacturers who wouldn't implement safety recalls because it would be cheaper for them to just pay off any lawsuits that come their way. Never let it be said that corporations aren't the biggest sadists.
It really came down to how Sony handled things. They clearly weren't passionate about the Vita like they were with the PSP when it launched, so it's no wonder the vast majority of the public weren't either. They chose to go with a proprietary memory card that was bloody expensive, and became more and more difficult to acquire even while the Vita was technically current.
That Sony set the record for the best selling direct competitor to a Nintendo handheld with...
I don't think they need to make one. People who care about power know full well that other consoles and PC offer that in spades, especially now that we're into a new gen of PlayStations and Xboxes. The Switch is doing just fine anyways, likely due to its versatility, as well as its exclusive offerings. When the time comes, it may be better for Nintendo to just release a full successor. There may be a vocal crowd clamoring for a Switch Pro, but it clearly hasn't hindered sales....
Stadia is still a thing? It's been awhile since I've heard any news about it.
In more ways than one. They even chose a conceited Phil who likes the spotlight to be the Stadia spokesperson. Of course, this industry only has room for one such Phil.
So you probably haven't read much of it. I used to be Catholic, and my church made the Bible seem so dull, I had no interest in reading it myself, so the grand sum of my exposure to it was through the priest and other readers relaying passages, with the priest droning on about them in his monotone voice. I always felt well-rested after his masses...which is amazing, considering the pews were wooden.
It wasn't until I joined a Pentecostal denomination that I star...
I'm a Christian, and I can't decide whether this is heretical, or the most awesome thing since the Jesus action figure.
@sourOG You must live somewhere with cold winters. I run my car while I'm scraping it off, then chill in my car for a bit, and leave enough time for it to thaw out, because heck if I'm going to leave my car unattended. Sure, it means getting up a bit earlier, but I'm not going to run it while I'm not watching it, because I don't trust other people.
Yes, that guy needs to return. I want to know his backstory. I doubt the RE4 remake will shed any light on that since he was never meant to be anything more than a merchant NPC...but he's just so much more interesting than a character of that type has any right to be.
If you were to do that IRL, you would be asking for your car to be stolen, so that's not a good metaphor.
You speak as though you've experienced having your account hijacked/banned. Do tell.
Valve clearly hasn't paid off all the right people like those other companies have. Honest coverage can go by the wayside if a company is able and willing to pay for it to be so. Such is the world we live in.
I heard about that. That's also an egregious misuse of one of the car's functions.
Good for the Tesla Model S? I'm assuming not while driving the car...as cars kind of require watching the real road. Imagine explaining that to a cop.
Nice! Great start Sony! Keep up the good work.
I could go for a good stealth game. Thanks to this article, I kind of want to go on a retro stealth kick.
Ouch. It's clearly not the Silent Hill replacement some sites are building it up as.
Part of me wants to try and explore my options for checking out all the games in the series (remakes are acceptable), but I'm glad most entries are accessible to new players.
Because a new Silent Hill would be nice too? I'm not holding my breath on Konami making it so it's good that other efforts exist, but for me an ideal world would be one where Silent Hill can co-exist with new IPs.
Also, although I haven't played this particular game yet, I'm getting a sense that the reception is in the mixed-positive range. It sounds like it might be worth checking out, but not necessarily something that should be hyped up as replacement...
I've literally never had this problem. Maybe years of gaming has just made my thumbs tougher than most, but I don't have a problem with that.
It's still better than anything Bioware could make from the ground up now, so I'll take a remaster of some games made in their prime.
