Frankly, it's your own damn fault if the match starts and you run down the same path 3 times. I've caught people nonstop with starting grenade shots because they kept trying to "beat me" by taking the same path. A smart player will 1) change their tactics or 2) hang back for a minute if someone is using the launcher.
Conversely Hoops, why, anytime a title comparison between 360 and PS3 ports comes up, the Xbox fanboys will go on and on about having the superior version with slightly less screen tearing or 1 extra frame per second? They droll on and on about how they want the best experience possible.
But when someone adds the PC into the equation, suddenly it's trolling? Interesting take there.
I'll get the superior PC edition. This is a great, great series and I can't wait to dig in!
I use it when the lag/host advantage is present to a disgusting degree. Why should I bother trying to aim and shoot at someone who isn't where they appear to be? Screw that, noobtube it is. I'm not playing games with this title's horrible netcode.
Exnihi, do yourself a favor. Block people like Bungie, WeWon, MGR, etc. If you feed them, they come back. If you ignore them, well, the world is a better place :)
Sorry, but I don't care about either motion control or the casual fanbase push frankly. I hope they both "botch it," because if I wanted a Wii, I'd buy a Wii again.
Nah, just put some guns on some power rangers and rip off some 70's space opera conventions and a few other titles out there, and you'll be fine.
Matter of opinion.
Funny how reviewers don't have the balls to call it like it is FROM THE OUTSET. These "articles" basically prove that reviews are done through rosey colored glasses with nice marketing and advertising $$$$ backing them.
Tell me again why ANY of you listen to review scores? Please, I'd LOVE to know.
Set up your damn router correctly. The MW2 updates on PS3 have taken me literally 5 seconds to get.
More like PlanetXSuck.
M I RITE?
God, this is "news" these days?
No, being a fanboy is like being a fanboy. Plenty of sports riots out there. Fanboy = fanboy. Fan = fan, regardless of hobby.
I don't see Bayonetta and Darksiders fighting/battling one another for points to win some tournament. I can play and enjoy both for different reasons. There is no final goal/pennant/cup/whatever to "win" in gaming.
Play the games and have some fun! Root for your series to do well, but not at the expense of others. Games can coexist. ...
NA = world? Cool. Thanks Aaron.
Art is subjective in games. But sorry, framerate, screentearing, loadtimes, and slowdown are NOT subjective. They are quantifiable. You can't just say "no no no" and expect people to listen.
Do they ruin the experience? That's up to you. But to say they don't exist or one version of Bayonetta is not objectively less technically proficient is just flat out BS.
Innovation in reviews is a selective argument sadly.
IE - how big is the franchise? Is it a cash cow? Then innovation need not apply.
Hey wait, I can't play sales numbers. WTF?
Guess I'll go back to playing one of the 20 games I bought this year. Psh... GAMES... what self respecting armchair analyst needs them? Not I!
In all seriousness, nice to see the industry staying strong. 2010 looks to be a great year for all gamers too.
*giggles*
Cool story bro.
I enjoy the game. I like the feel of play and the mechanics. But the tech side (netcode, lobby) and the ease of exploits/lack of balancing drive me nuts. I shouldn't HAVE to be the host in a game to make my weapons actually do the damage the game is showing me.
It's not always that simple in the development world. If the publishers wants a demo, you gotta give them a demo. There's more to making games than, sadly, JUST making games. Trust me on that one.
"So Edge's average review score is above the middle of its scale, and it is notorious for low/harsh review scores. Just goes to show how inflated review scores are, and how inflated peoples' expectations of review scores are."
Rather, goes to show how arcane and stupid the concept of review scores is, and how they should be done away with. What makes other outlets inflated, and Edge "correct?" Because they grade more harshly? Is harsh synonymous with "fai...
