That while the 360 is my favorite console by far this gen (as of now), this article really got me thinking to the point where I've actually thought of just selling my 360 games (I've yet to replace my busted 360 with the money I got back), and investing the money into my PS3 and Wii.

Drop the price further. The 360 is going to continue to blow PS3 out of the water in sales as long as the price is $500-$600. Why would anyone want to pay $150 extra for a console with far fewer games and worse versions of shared titles?
I feel that it gives developers a chance to rush out a game and use dlc as a crutch to fix flaws/add features. The problem with that in my opinion is that it should be free. I would've been sold on Motorstorm had it had more meat on it's bones, and all of the extras that should've been in the game come with a price tag.
I prefer Epic's stance of wanting to give players the extras for free, and after all, wouldn't that just push more copies of the game out the door?

The PS2 was a problem for developers when it first released, but compare the games at launch to more recent fare like God of War 2. Now consider how long it took to get to that point; six to seven years. Ken's not saying the games won't look good two to four years from now, he's just stating the obvious truth that it'll be some time before the system's poential is tapped.

@SuperSaiyan4- Capcom bought the publishing rights to the GTA games in japan. Do you think they held sway over Rockstar as to which consoles it could appear on? M$ only bought the rights to publish NG2. Tecmo owns Ninja Gaiden, and if Tecmo wants to release Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma six months after NG2 hits the 360, then they can.

Glad to see M$ is passing on the price of the paintjob to consumers. You could save yourself $30 by buying the reguar white pro system and a play and charge kit. Plus you'd be saving yourself the eyesore of having a puke green unit in your entertainment center. The smarter move would've been to ditch the play and charge kit, make it a more appealing Covenant Elite blue and pack in a copy of Halo 3. At $399 that would've been a nicer deal.
What he's saying is true, and Assasin's Creed is a game that they wanted to make exclusively for PS3, but I'm not really certain about the other titles. Games like VF5 appeared to be switched to multiplatform from a publisher's decision, and possibly a little prodding from M$. Judging from the lackluster sales of VF5 and Virtua Tennis I doubt it would've paid for Sony to aquire them as exclusives.
Anyway, the real meat of this is that M$ is hungry, and they're really busting their but...
HD DVD getting beaten like a drum. I wouldn't buy an HD DVD add on for my 360 even if it were $50 cause it's got beat max written all over it.
I noticed no issues with the demo in regards to frame rate problems. The only issue I did encounter was with loading. There's no loading indicators at all (the screen just goes black), and after one particular death the game never loaded and I had to reset the PS3.

Please explain. You make it sound as if the game's framerate chugs or is inconsistent. My copy runs nice and smooth.
Ninja Gaiden was not a smash hit in japan, so NG2 will have little impact on sales over there. Ikarga and Rez are great if you don't already own them, and personally I'll take the physical copies of Ikaruga and Rez that I own over the pay for the right to play method that is XBLA. The new Square exclusive looks nice, but there's little else. I was hoping for more suprises, and now get the feeling that Sony's going to clobber them at TGS with some new game announcements.
One game?! Anyway, this can't be Sega's entire lineup for the show, and if it is then blah.
Bottem line: Both version will look great.
But a $400 PS3 with Spidey 3 packed in sounds like a solid bundle for the holidays. They'd better back it up with some strong marketing for the system and games like Drake's Fortune, and Ratchet.
