Plenty of games with Move support released recently...

Resistance 3, Deadmund's Quest, NMH 2, Child of Eden, Infamous 2 got it patched in, SingStar Dance, etc.

What are these guys on about? They are whining about how Move support changes from game to game?

I did. I guess you didn't. Feel free to point out where the ports of Tales of Xillia and Graces F being ported are mentioned.

Journalistic guesswork (i.e. "likely aimed at") means NOTHING. Try not to believe everything you think might be between the lines -- you'll find yourself sorely disappointed most of the time.

Um. Wow. That sucks. I own every Tales game that every made it to North America or Europe.

I hope Graces F and Xillia still make it?

A decent article, with good points. I'll correct one guess, in the article, with facts:

New engine titles (the kind that would ship on a new piece of hardware) generally take 3-5 years to develop, and often start on PCs. Sequels on the same engine (#s "2" and "3", as the console gen progresses) generally only take about 2 years to put together (as the article states).

This fact is one of the major reasons #2 and #3 of successful game...

Wow @ the sad PC sales of MW3, relative to its console brethren. Skyrim PC is at least respectable.

Most games consist of up to 2 million lines of source code, and that's not inclusive of the SDKs/middleware they use, which can also have bugs.

Get a clue, if you think such coding monuments can be shipped bug free, or even made bug free for a good year after they are deemed good enough for shipment. Do you whine to the city, if you find a pebble embedded in a sidewalk, because it fell in there while the concrete was drying, in a city the size of Chicago?

I find it hilarious that this small comment is the only one with any relevance, and will largely go ignored by the N4G community.

Most of them didn't even notice that the rumored CPU was an ARM, which would never cut it in a console, since even the performance of a hexacore mobile CPU wouldn't touch a tri-core desktop CPU.

5235d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

The article said it was a hex-core ARM -- a mobile power-saving (as opposed to performance) design. LoL.

I agree that a 6870 seems reasonable, though. A dual 6870 isn't needed, however, and would raise the price beyond that of the consumer-attractive point needed.

CES is not high-profile enough for a MS reveal.

E3 or bust. This rumor is false -- Cirque de Soleil doesn't do CES, because CES is a tech show, not an entertainment show.

Ick. If that's where Microsoft is headed with the Xbox, I'm out.

Does make sense though... and frankly that would give the 360 a considerably extended shelf life, if it was able to play games on a high-end PC, but remotely. I despise all forms of control lag, so I wouldn't be into it, but I can see it taking off with a certain crowd.

Bad tidings, when coming from a man who has been playing with the Wii U...

Perhaps he's only referring to the Wii U.

Honestly, animation is where's its at for the near future, not pixel quality.

Shooter gameplay has evolved a LOT on consoles, since Halo first came out. Frankly, I'm surprised they gave it anything about a 7 or 7.5, for this reason -- it must look mighty good in motion.

Different genres tend to fare much better when given a HD facelift, because the gameplay has not really changed as much, in those genres.

Wow. 4.4 whole GB.

How will a PS3 owner ever come up with that? Oh yeah, I forgot... they can install 30-70 such games on the HDD that comes built-in, while the average attach ratio is still less than 10 for the PS3, as well as its competitors.

I can't agree with their assessment. The measure of who would win comes with the magnitude of the "I am a bad MF!" feeling after victory, and Doomguy tromps MC in this regard, hands down.

In addition to that, Doomguy would clearly run in and chainsaw MC if he ever popped that shield up, with his unholy running speed -- or just wait him out and then resume the rocket barrage. It'd boil down to a close quarters battle eventually for MC, because he would be d...

Anyone who has lost 2 PS3s should ponder their livingroom setup, considering airflow seriously.

I lost one... a CECHA model (original 60 GB), after 4 years of near continuous use, folding@home etc. Considering many PCs don't last under such conditions -- especially considering the PS3 had to contend with the hair of both my cat and my longhair dog -- I think that's pretty damn good.

As to his other complaint... Sony didn't price it, and how much ...

5237d ago 8 agree1 disagreeView comment

...yes, but $60 games at retail typically go for about $35-38, when purchased by retail from the publisher.

Pricing these titles BELOW that amount, on the biggest shopping day of the year, would be downright stupid, since every title sold would *lose* the retailer money.

Either Best Buy has gone insane, or they are hoping for a lot of cross business to make up the losses.

5239d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

Do yourself a huge favor and get one with a HDD for game installs. The 4GB one isn't worth it, unless you can get a decent-sized HDD for under $70. Even a 120GB is fine, really. A lot of modern 360 games suffer badly without the install -- BF3, Rage, and Skyrim, to name just a few.

If you're just getting it for 360 exclusives, though, like Halo and Gears... maybe then a cheap 4GB isn't a bad idea. 360 Exclusives seem to be less dependant on the speed of HDD st...

I find these game deals hard to believe. Best Buy is going to lose a hella lotta money on Batman:AC, U3, AC:R, Gears3, etc. It's so ridiculous I have to call "fiction" on the story.

I bet AC:R is $45, and the other games are $40, etc. Heck, the article even got the PS3 in the bundle wrong -- it has to be a 160GB, not a 120GB.

@kaveti6616

You are correct. Microsoft and Sony both only know how many they have sold to retail. Only the individual retail chains know how many have been sold to consumers, and they do not share that info with manufacturers -- NPD pays some of them for the info.

Both Sony and MS have *always* reported "sold to retail" which many people refer to as "shipped". The thing is, "shipped" IS sold, as far as the manufacturer/publish...

$140 for a crippled 360 with no games, or $200 for a 160GB PS3 with a games bundle... It's sad to know that so many will jump to get the no-games, HDD-less 360, when the PS3 bundle is clearly the better deal.
