The reason PC sales are so low is because the PS3/360 have pretty much all the same AAA games the PC does PLUS MORE, making PC platform kind of irrelevant.
Last game was The Witcher 2 , at the time,exclusive to PC. Though I did pirate Crysis 3 on PC because theres no way I was going to give EA $$$ for that.
I've hardly used my gaming PC this generation due to 99% of the games being available on my PS3 ...
Tomb Raider continues to prove that amazing gameplay and great word of mouth because of THAT - sells.

I'm sure I am going to get a lot of disagrees with this due to the bias towards PS3 exclusives, but after playing Tomb Raider, it is definitely better then uncharted 2 in quite a few ways.
Platform/Climbing mechanics are better. Better/smoother animations. Not as linear as uncharted 2 which is very very simplistic.
Combat is better then Uncharted 2.
It also has a better sense of exploration compared to Uncharted 2.

The PS4 is definitely the safe bet.
You can tell the direction Microsoft is heading with the 720. Look at the 360, it started off as a core gaming platform and then during the end of the generation started focusing on Kinect and casual.

The hardware has been there for years (high end PC hardware), but the AI is still attrocious.
Graphics isnt what needs to be improved, it's the AI and thats up to the developers.

I went through the whole of DS3 and didn't even bother purchasing any of this microtransaction nonsense. It is completely OPTIONAL.

It's a waste of time comparing. PC is upgradable, of course its going to have better hardware and will look better.
But it isn't the looks that are important, its the gameplay, and this is were the consoles outshine PC tenfold.
An improvement over Crysis 2, which isnt very hard to do, but Crytek focused on the wrong thing - Graphics.
Crysis 3 is proof that gameplay is MUCH more important then graphics. You can have all the fancy graphics you want - it aint going to improve the gameplay.
Crytek you may want to look at other recent shooters that have MUCH better gameplay and fun factor - Far Cry 3. Theres a reason that game got GOTY / Runner-up.
