im pretty excited for this title. Hope it doesn't suck.
Right down the street from my own office and EA. :)
I question it. I'd rather get games later than never.
As an avid racing game fan and an owner of Driveclub, I'd say it deserves a 7.5 imho. It's good, but compared to other racers, it's lacking some pretty big features that aren't coming in updates I've read about. It's a fun game but I find myself at odds with the physics, and desire to want to get in and tweak the cars, swap out parts, throw some rims on, change brakes and gearing. The general lack of selection of cars is also really disappointing - especially when the...
I think gamers are losing their way and becoming ungrateful, spoiled brats who think the world owes them everything simply for them giving something their attention. I would love for them to be in a difficult situation with the whole world watching and judging. Opinions and criticisms are fine, after all it is entertainment and oddly kind of mashed in a sports like element but a line needs to be drawn about what's acceptable human decency.
Wow. Disagrees for being bummed about network troubles? And even with a lighthearted joking context? And an edit that I checked and my network was fine? Sheesh. No love.
Oh man. This is punching my heart in the face. This fresh off the heels of the Driveclub server issues. Hopefully it comes back with the gift of 2.0. Even if not I can't stay mad at you PSN. Now kiss me!
Edit: mines fine.
Will do!
Nice one, Mate.
Grand theft auto didn't claim it was a COD Killer in its trailers.

I agree with everything you said. I am actually a huge sim racing fan and while I do enjoy both Driveclub and FH2, neither of them match the experience of a proper sim racer. Even comparing FH2 to Forza 5, there are huge differences in the driving experiences even if you remove the fact that one is open world and one is laser scanned, real world tracks.
Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport are both sim racing games, and both seem to have enjoyed quite ...
The races aren't really long enough to truly enjoy it. Unless its simulating that your race lasts for 6-8 hours or something. Don't get me wrong I appreciate it and its beautiful, but it does make more sense in an open world game because you can just wonder around for as long as you want with no time restrictions.
From what I understand after the Kinect resource update, the Xbox One can do about 1.41 tflops and the ps4 can do i believe around 1.82 tflops. The ps4 has 18 CUs but apparently only uses 14 for graphics rendering. The other 4 are either switched off, used to help with CPU load (not rendering) or backup fault CUs. The Xbox has 12 CU's, but those CU's are clocked slightly higher and can be used however they want to use them. It's worth noting that you also don't count just ...
I think the AI in Driveclub is not great at all. I'm a pretty avid racing game fan, and I like Driveclub, but to say the AI is great is just dishonest. Either that or you have never played a racing game with actual great AI. They feel like they are practically stuck to a rail and will completely ignore you and other AI cars just to maintain that same rigid line. Personally I consider them more obstacles than opponents.
Swapper, Mousecraft, Titan Souls, Transistor to name a few. Heres a nice quote from an article from a gaming site that explains my point well:
"Why is the “launch parity” clause so damning for Microsoft? Because a lot of indie developers stagger the releases of their games across multiple platforms. They’ll release their game on Steam and the sales of the game on Steam will fund the PS4 port, then the PS4 port will fund the Wii U port, etc. Often they can’t afford to la...
I think the launch parity clause MS has in place needs to go. It's just keeping great games from coming to the system. This is an area Sony accels at.
@Catoplepas:
It's not an assumption. It's what Ubisoft came out and said. We can't really call it a fact because I'm pretty sure none of us were there in the studio while these decisions were being made. Whether its actually true or not we may never know, but I guess thats the point I'm attempting to make.
Yes it is true that the PS4 is a more powerful machine, but its not hugely more powerful and has its own limitations and bottleneck...
I would agree with this article for the most part, though I'd say I probably enjoy the game a bit more than the reviewer. It's at least a decent game. Maybe even good. A couple of the tracks I find to be a little boring, but most of them are pretty solid. I'm curious to see what they do with the DLC to hopefully keep it fresh. I wouldn't mind seeing new tracks and locations in addition to cars.
I love this game. Its more fun than I was expecting. It's also beautiful. I know everyone talks about how beautiful Driveclub is, and rightfully so - but FH2 is also very, very impressive as well visually. It simply just needs to be played to appreciate it fully.
Amen. This site seems to be all about that, and its annoying.
