A nitpick from my part, but Xperia isnt anything new and risky. Sony Ericsson always made mobile phones, and when they ceased to exist (under this name), they were rebranded Sony Mobile, and most of the resources were put towards Sony phones.

The only nitpick I have with his doings, is that "death to all jews" isnt quite as obviously a joke as "Hitler did nothing wrong". Its much more context sensitive and quote mineable.

I think they havent introduced PS1 classics yet, is because PS1 games in general have less demand, and they have aged considerably worse (so people who havent played them before, could find some of them very jarring). Would stll love to have them, especially with the same emulation features as the PS2 classics.
Its important for the preservation of videogames history, and besides, PS1 games are so much more easier to emulate than PS2 games.
I mean, I cant speak for the person you are replying to, but its sometimes possible to have such a terrible ending that it puts you off for the entire series.

I started playing Banjo Kazooie for the first time ever on the N64, and I have to say... Its platforming controls in general feel a bit more refined (though, SM64's controls work amazingly for speedruns), and camera controls are simply superior to SM64.
SM64 is still pretty impressive for a game from 96 (or 97?).
The one thing I can understand, is that it might be repetitive. From what I have heard, its pretty long, it doesnt have large variation with enemies nor in the environments. The alpha/betas kind of hinted that, which I was kind of afraid about, but it was still a very solid game with a very good level design.
Overall, I guess its up to how bothered people are about aesthetical things like this.
The biggest thing that goes against your argument, is the fact that they had this concept and idea locked down 10 years ago. Nioh wouldnt even exist if they didnt come across this legend, and start it as a Dynasty Warriors clone.
I thought it was weird to see this western guy as the main character and as a samurai, but I do think the story justifies the character, because after hearing about it myself, it sounds really cool.
Cyber Sleuth scaled well to PS4, but with this one they did improve certain places massively. Specifically those that have a long draw distance, with a stable performance.

This is already more effort than with Cyber Sleuth, so maybe if the sales keep being good, they might do a PS4 native game (but not with AAA budget, ofcourse).

If they are doing a SNES classic, it needs at the very least 5x more units at launch. Many stores only got like 5-10 units at launch, which is a travesty.

Sucks for those who want to experience the whole game in one sitting, but it could be enticing for a replay, depeding how many there are, and whether they are alternates to the other genders quests, in the same questline.
