I have been thinking about starting collecting OG Xbox stuff, because the system really isnt half bad at all. Some of the multiplats were so much more better (Rainbow Six 3 for example was super linear on PS2, but much more open on Xbox, being much closer to Raven Shield on PC), and its not a region locked system. I also believe resolution output was slightly better than on the PS2?
Though the machine is big, so Im not sure if I have the space for it in my current setup. I ...
So, who are actually whining about this? I read a very similar article just some time ago, but it gave no examples. Are we talking about a handful of whiny nazi fks on twitter, or about the more nationalistic kind who consider this a political attack?
Either way it is, I dont care about their feelings. This just came from the bushes, so Im wondering about the scale of this issue.
Its probably something very minor. The original PS4 (with touch buttons) had a revision too. Based on what I had read, only the Wifi transmitter was changed or altered, but otherwise they were identical. After that, they released a more significant revision that was full matte and had physical buttons as well as less noisy fans.
@BrettAwesome
Fun fact, the last PS2 slim model/revision had a similar half glossy, half matte look.

This really isnt anything new by South Parks standards. The joke is not that Kaneys mother died. The joke is that the man himself is narcissistic and no normal person grieving their mother is going to fund a damn Iphone game development over such event. Some might think its cute, but considering its Kanye, its absolutely ridiculous.
It all comes down to how silly the idea already sounded back when he announced the game. Didnt he also say that he was inspired to make the gam...
Modern videogame AI is barely different compared to games from the 2000's. They may have little more choices now that the games have become a bit more complex, but their movement tend to be ever so predictable and decision making dumb as ever.
*At least on average. These days there are games with some pretty good AI.
"FromSoftware has confirmed they are working on a sequel to a pre-existing IP that isn’t Dark Souls"
I havent heard them say exactly that, but they did say that they were working on a new Armored Core.
Otherwise, Im still strongly on the side that we are not going to see a sequel. They should probably start a new series that fills that Bloodborne itch but isnt directly related.
Well, EA did deny her involvement, but I really doubt even if she was screwing around, she would have affected the gameplay and world design. I really doubt they would have allowed her to get anywhere near the gameplay and world designing aspects.
Otherwise... good grief
I would really like to be able to share gifs through PS messages. Currently I believe you can upload gifs to some services directly from PS4, but cant put them into messages.
Remastering a game for the same machine technically isnt a bad idea, as long as its handled well. For example, Dying Light Enhanced Edition claims that they reworked several small details like the animations and included all the DLC. The update was free for existing users.
@nitus10
Also, Demons Souls flat out didnt allow you to back up your saves on a USB drive, and limited cloud backups to once a day or something. On PS4, I dont think such limitations exist.
Im quite pumped for Super Motherload. The original Motherload was a pretty addictive experience.
I think 6 years is still little on the short side, so Im willing to bet that they are going for 7 years. We havent yet "hit the wall" this gen, where the consoles simply struggle with the new games. Though, we no longer see devs gawking over the "power" of the current gen (except for the premium models), so its safe to say we are over the half point this gen.
Its also true that the old systems simply wont die that quickly. Even PS3 got some AAA support 2...
It was obviously made harder from the norm, because it has quite a few tight jumps which require good timing and even prediction skills. Would have been a solid extra bonus level in the original (like they were planning).
Tbh, I think I enjoyed Stormy Ascend more than Slippery Climb, since It has like 3 checkpoints over Slippery Climb's 1. The one in remake feels pretty well polished and balanced, and I got some 10 minutes or so extra from the new bonus Brio level, whic...
Demons Souls master server is still very much online. Theres just not much of an active player base left. Every year during the Back to the Nexus even you can see a decent amount of traffic, though.
To most people, PS Vita was probably to PS3 what PSP was to PS2.
On the smaller screen, you could say "ehh, kinda in the same ballpark"
Now, this is a study I like.
I would still wager that its a spin on the meme "Its like Skyrim with guns".
I think one of the reasons why people use Dark Souls as a comparison, is because the series is actually pretty popular and many have had at least some contact with it. Its just easy to use something so relatively widely known for comparison.
I doubt it. I think we might possibly start seeing weirder generations from now on. I wouldnt be surprised if Pro was compatible with the next generation PS console games, with the standard PS4 seeing a longer life with indie releases due to a unification with all the upcoming PS consoles. The "PS5" also getting a half generation upgrade that is upwards compatible. All this assuming they keep using the same OS with more updates (instead of developing an all new one), and use similar...
