ID did say that they are working on a bot system for Doom, but they are not in a hurry.

The guy who would eventually undertake the task, was originally a modder who made the bots for Return to Castle Wolfenstein and later as an employee to Quake Wars (and those bots were pretty good).

IIRC, he's now working on the Doom map maker code and logic.

Dont remember where I read this.

Yes, but I dont think they deserve to get shut down or sued up the ass. I think theres enough to warrant an investigation.

This is what I have been wondering. Im already trying to be somewhat conscious about how playable the release version is, so that years after all the servers handing out updates and selling DLC have been shut down, I can still enjoy the game.

Now that emulation of 7th gen is starting, it will be interesting to see how can all the patches and DLC be handled legitimately, or if piracy is required.

Sadly, piracy is still way too relevant in the emulation sce...

I hope that this means the campaign will also be semi open with some decent choices.

I have a feeling that they will evolve greatly at some point, but that will be quite far into the future. The Steam Controller works good when combined with the touchpad + gyro, but its probably not the most practical way of aiming.

A small step towards that better controller IMO, is if we could come up with technology that can eliminate unintentional thumb roll on a touchpad, and reduce jerkyness with some highly effective movevement prediction/filtering.

It's so weird, but I appreciate the effort thet put into developing it. At least it seems to be working pretty decently.

Ahh, damn... its digital only.

At least it seems to have a great song#/value ratio

Schollar of the First Sin is more technically new version/PC port than a ported PS3 version.

But the thing with DaS2 is... it was basicly cobled together in a year after they sorted out their internal messes. Basicly the original director wanted to take DaS2 to a radicaly different direction, and once they/publisher thought people wouldnt like the new direction, they switched to a new director called Tanimura (who directed the DLC's from the begining and started directi...

As in, it's cooling is going like crazy, or the disc drive is super loud?

I have only had very limited experience with different fat PS2's, but to me it seems the earlier models had considerably louder fan and the disc drive sounded more snappy. The late fat models were a bit more quiet and had a smoother disc drive sound.

The interesting thing, though, is that both earlier models I have opened have had their "teeth" in great conditions ...

It really is. Though, I think the last PS2 slim model was also quite pretty http://blog-imgs-12.fc2.com...
It also looks a bit cleaner from the sides, because it has less of those "gaps" and also cleaner airvents.

Originaly I thought it was just the same console but with internal powerbrick, but its actually different looking too. Got one specimen just a while ag...

Since you loved DeS and even DaS3, that tells me that you very highly prefer more of the aesthetic side of these games. DaS2 is easily the weakest in this aspect and it highly depends what people are looking for in a Souls games, to determine if they will like DaS2 or not.

Bloodborne might be the best aesthetics wise, so you will probably love it. Also has the best soundtrack.

*What I mean with saying "even DaS3", is that people widely think DaS...

@Kaneki-Ken

A game cant simply make the console overheat by stressing the hardware enough (intentionally). If that happens, it means the cooling isnt sufficient. If my PC has all of its fans free of dust and I play a game that uses near 100% of the GPU power, it doesnt magicly just overheat the part.

PS3 breaking because of Skyrim overheating it, means that:
1) That PS3 was already prone to having overheating issues (heatsink not connecting prope...

From what I have understood, Asian/Chinese releases can quite often have english versions available too, so this could be just a matter of them not thinking this is a significant enough feature to enable/code into the game.

Still, sucks that they wont release the game even in this state to the western markets. Maybe they thought that people wouldnt be digging the disparity between the two console versions now that they have said that the PS4 version will have slightly bette...

Shouldnt be that critical, world is full of languages and non-native english speakers hear other languages all the time. Digimon didnt really take off in Europe either, and I have heard some people blaming the movie cut that was released for the downfall of Digimon in the western markets. Not sure how accurate that is, though. I do kinda vaguely that being the peak era of Digimon.

Either way, they did say that Next Order would have a full english voice acting in their press...

Im waiting semi hopefully that they get an opportunity to make a physical release. Im kinda hesitant when it comes to buying digital games. Even some lesser games have gotten a physical release, and some (although much more popular ones) have done a stealth release (like Super Meat Boy just a few days ago).

I think it will always mater to an extend. Good characters are in some way always relatable, and alot of times I think those are based on stereotypes which represent large portions of people, but not the majority.

Basicly, there are different stereotypes between the genders, and different cultural backgrounds/races. So if you build your characters based on these details, you really cant have a convincing character that just allows you to toggle its gender between the two. ...

Im pretty sure he said that he's done with Bloodborne and they are not developing another sequel.

Not exactly sure what you meant with that, but racism is irrational based only on your appearance, while classism/elitism would be looking down on you because of your material inferiority.

Like, hate is still hate, no mater where it stems from (even outside of these examples and this context).

Most of that 95% hates the fanboys, which then seep into the rest, while other part dislikes the irrationality of a large part of console communities (paying for ...
