Yeah, it makes me miss the Atari days when your characters were blue or green.

Arcades were great because you were face to face with your opponent, so you couldn't rage quit or even rage at all unless you wanted to look like a jerk. I remember Initial D had a card you could buy so you could keep improving your car and customize it too. I still remember sitting down to have a race and realizing it was going to be ugly when I saw the car the other guy had.

If DmC flops NT probably won't even exist for much longer.

I don't know, the first time I saw it I just thought that it didn't belong in a fighting game. The fact that it can be an advantage to the opponent makes it seem worse actually because they zoom in like the character is about to do something epic and then it fails. If they make a new Darkstalkers I hope they don't include them, but if they do I'll cope.

I hate Ultras, one of my biggest problems with SFIV was the fact that play stopped for those mini cut scenes. It's a fighting game, it's supposed to be fast paced, and zooming in on a character causes a real disadvantage to the other guy when you're playing an actual human opponent.

Marvel/DC crossovers have happened before, but of all those characters we'll probably get the usual suspects like Batman, Superman, Wolverine, and Spider-Man along with heroes nobody wants or cares about like Rocket Raccoon, Nanny, Sentry, Matter-Eater Lad, Arm Fall Off Boy, and the Wonder Twins.

Video game movies are likely doomed to fail because while a movie is an experience that is shared with a group a video game is, more often than not, a personal experience. While you sit and watch a film and have no control over the pace or choices within it, in a video game you can speed through some parts and choose where the character goes or what he says in some cases. The transition from that to film is impossible because while video games are about giving the player choices, Hollywood is...

Mortal Kombat is probably the better of the two, but I've had more fun playing Soul Caliber IV than any other fighting game this gen.

I thought it was more in line with Predator, although maybe it's a combination of both.

I guess it's official, as long as Mike Laidlaw is involved with it DA is dead. No wonder Brent Knowles left BioWare.

I hope so, but it really needs a reboot not because of the PSOne games, but because of this:

If they name it Dragon Age: Origins 2 I'll think about buying it, but if it continues the tale of Hawke or starts a new tale with some new person (Falcon maybe?) then I won't be interested.

From now on I plan on making a character who looks like Vincent Price so I can be evil and not only have fun but look the part. It worked pretty well for me in Fallout 3.

You don't want a reboot of Metal Gear and FFVII, you want an HD remake. I'd say Dino Crisis and StarTropics fall more in line with needing a reboot.

@fr00ty-wizenhymer

I guess that's possible, but I'm still cynical after what happened to SciFi.

I know, but if they completely bought out the company, thus gaining control of what gets released where, MS and Nintendo would be out of not only FF, DQ, and other SE games, but Hitman, Deus Ex, and Tomb Raider too.

The article mentions SONY buying SE, but if they did they wouldn't just be getting SE, they'd get Eidos too. I don't think Microsoft would want that so I'm sure they'd do everything they could to convince them not to make a deal if it ever happened.

I know it's a little late, but I called who would be on the cover minus MJ.

I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me, but I don't think either of the voice actors for Shepard were anything special. Maybe it's because they're Canadian so they don't know how to sound tough? Just kidding.

As for the choice of the new female Shepard, who cares? At least you had a say in what she looked like which is more than we can say for the default "Male Model Shepard" based on Mark Vanderloo. Would you have been more satisfied if ...

Did you buy any games in the NES/SEGA-N64/PS2/XBox eras? While having the original language available is always a good thing it isn't something that's very common in localized games. Your gaming library must not be that big if that's one of your absolute requirements.
