Unfortunately I don't think Konami will let him stop. The MGS series makes way too much money for them. It'd be like letting the CoD developers focus on new IPs instead of CoD.
As excellent as the MGS series is, Kojima is trapped in his success.
Solid Snake couldn't have children and he was never married. I say just let it be finished with MGS4.
I doubt it. Something tells me it won't even be marketed properly.
It's nice that they do take chances. Heavy Rain was a pretty big gamble and they surprisingly pulled it off. The game has sold 2mil+ copies to date.
I agree on the first sentence of your post, Microsoft is doing great with the Xbox. The second sentence is completely opinionated.
Lastly, Kinect is over-hyped. Being that I am an owner of one, the damn thing picks up (and responds) to ambient noise way too frequently. Kinect will even respond to the game I'm playing (Tali says "No!", Shepard does Nova). I have to shout the voice commands (Skyrim, Mass Effect) in order to get it to even work.
That was a pretty cool ad. I'm not a major fan of Halo but it's pretty enjoyable. I have H3 and Reach, I mind as well get 4.
Forza isn't a new IP because it continues the use of the brand name "Forza".
Every Final Fantasy release shouldn't be considered a new IP because they're all different. It's still under the same trademark.
Resident Evil 4-6 aren't considered new IPs because they play differently compared to Resident Evil 1-3. Again, it's still all under the same brand name.
This should be no exception.
A future in where we no longer own our games?
I'll pass. People don't want gaming ending up where we have to be online to play games.
The trailer looked great. The game looked pretty good for an open world game on a handheld. Sony definitely packed in some nice hardware.
I'm surprised Sing followed by Just Dance 4 didn't get a mention.
Ditching Vita in favor of Wonderbook for 15 minutes left a sour taste in my mouth.
Ultimately, they did do better out of the big three. I think that Ubisoft ran the show though tbh.
Screw XBL. I can't even look at messages players leave in Dark Souls without having Gold. What kind of crap is that?
Usher was completely out of place to be honest. That bit of the conference could have been confused with a MTV broadcast. Kinect + Nike was also out of place. If they wanted to advertise an exercise game, it should have been debuted on The View.
It's already known that gamers are the majority that watch E3. Why are you advertising to soccer moms when they hardly watch anything relating to gaming?
The conference wasn't bad but it wasn't good eit...
I'm pretty sure everyone wanted 20 minutes of Zelda HD instead of Nintendo Land. So yeah it was important... in the process of killing Nintendo's show.
I just quit FFXI as well. Had a good run but it seemingly got ditched for FFXIV's revival.
Hopefully FFXIV 2.0 can impress everyone.
Has Naughty Dog ever created a bad game? All they do is continue to impress. The environment, the animations, the graphics. All phenomenal.
Definite day 1 purchase for me.
Lets just accept that FFvXIII doesn't exist. It's just a giant "screw with your emotions" attempt (just like the FFVII remake) from SE because they 'love' their fans.
6 years and practically nothing. That's just bad business.
5 minutes for your struggling handheld and 20 minutes for some Move-enabled book. That was just sad and it was just as bad as Kinect + Nike.
That digital book literally killed your show, congrats Sony. All eyes on Nintendo now.
I sorta want to know why they had a 15 second CGI trailer of their second biggest exclusive franchise (Gears of War) and not gameplay. Not only was it a short trailer, Kinect + Nike exceeded its length well over ten fold.
Kinect won't help anyone lose weight. It's called a gym and it's way more effective than a camera.
Capcom making(recreating?) an exclusive for PS3? Color me surprised.
I'm definitely on board. While Okami is beautiful, a 42in screen doesn't do the game justice on PS2.
