Pretty sure most doom articles are just emphasizing on what's "current".
I am pretty confident VITA would do fine.. but I doubt would be near NINTENDO's overall software and hardware sales. I bet this gens dedicated handheld wars would turn out pretty similar to the last (DS vs PSP).
ipad no.. convertible tablets (are the future).. yes.
Then again it all depends on pricing.
If Dev cost and pairing controllers become a trend on tablets then yeah..

For heavy gamers yeah.. for not so much who only buys 3-4 new titles a year (including non day 1 buys [below 60 bucks]), makes the console gaming as cheap.
I don't really disagree with you though. It just depends on what kind of "gamer" (or hoarder lol) you are.
That's the thing.. I am still plenty happy with my PSP. I've even seen several comments about people mostly playing PSP games on the VITA.
Time to play the waiting game.

not exactly your typical music game with just mostly rhythm gameplay (like DJMax, DDR). This has AR stuff (fan service)..
and afaik, like other PJD games have EDIT mode where you piece together your own music video (choreograph) and even pick your own music.. and even arrange the button patterns. Pretty sure the variety in costumes help for creating a more personalized vocaloid video.

WTF it's the same res as the 3DS. How is that any different from the 3DS's 1:1 pixel mapping.
Sure it's just bigger but that's the only difference.
Maybe I have a different understanding of 1:1 pixel mapping (rendering DS native res to 3DS screen w/o upscaling)
I guess that's more true the fact that touch screen are more of a standard than what the DS form factor offers.
But I still think that VITA and 3DS are for more of the core gamers and Apple's products are for the more casual (Ipod Touch).
