I am very skeptical on that so called SS comparison. Not even the same "screen/shot".. the supposed ugly/old shot is located further ahead of the supposed improved shot.
W/e. Not that I want the game to flop but we shall see.
Kinda.. it's next gen relative to the time frame amongst its competition and the last device.
It simply makes sense to call it next gen right NOW as it isn't even out.
Too bad I'm pretty simple minded.
It's a bit much more confusing if it weren't called a "next gen" item (right now).
Ahh crap.. this is their next target after used game sales. It's plausible.
Hmm.. it looks okay.. but I am still a bit skeptical on the final work's texture quality and perceived jagged-ness.. very hard to judge on those mugged-shots.
I read an earlier article that the FPS was fluctuating a bit. Hope they fix that too.
Can't wait to see the final product!
I wish they kept vanilla costumes of 2nd jobs from Ragnarok Online. I've seen the vanilla costumes for the 1st jobs.
I'd love more nostalgia from Ragnarok Online :P :D
XXboX >:) :P
And thus: a niche market.. gravely so because of the platform price.
Numbers don't lie in this case.
I am pretty confident there are more people who already have enough "core gaming" needs provided by home consoles.. who can consider the VITA platform price palatable.
With that being said, I still think Sony should still somewhat stick with their "core" strategy to differentiate themselves from the market. I just hope ...
Or they simply didn't went all out with the Wii U's hardware.
Other than higher textures and resolution.. the geometry looks the same.
I hope the FPS is at least higher.
Never a fan of such games because I am not really competitive.. I'd take the SP of Hitman and Tomb Raider any day over PSAS.
That's just me ofc.
The very first hitman absolution gameplay trailer I saw looked great but the later ones seem to have had some downgrade in visual quality.. hmm
So? Does that even do a lot of damage to the core games this platform offers?
This is more of a good thing.
Most new ones.
It also depends on how optimized/intensive the game is.
I have a 5870 2GB E6 that can do x6 1080p (brand new for 185 dollars a year ago).
4K is nothing.. content for it does matter if it's gonna run well or not.
Hmm makes me think..
so 4K.. so that's significantly more chances of having dead pixels.
Plus, does it truly matter if you're seated far away from the set? (no pixelization)
I think an increase in FPS in 1080 would have a bit more impact.
But ofc, big companies would want to force new 4k sets. That makes me expect 30 FPS and below if 4K would be the "norm" this next gen of consoles.
4k? Honestly I think that'd probably just look like a crisp PS3 game..
I'd much rather have 1080p with better texture, geometry and effects next gen. (like how console games today barely run 720p but at least have awesome overall visuals)
I sure would love a VITA price cut! Or at least cheaper memory cards :P
Yes! I am also quite annoyed by such "runs" when losing to a boss.. but I guess some would defend it as a way for the player to take some sort of small break and think.. and make them work harder cuz if you don't, you'd have to do the boring "run" again..
Sometimes it kinda makes the game's length "artificial" due to the way the developers made their checkpoint system.. It's definitely a love it or hate it thing..
...
Or at least create more competitive 2D displays at very competitive pricing. :P
I
HOPE
IT'S
TRUE!
*tears*
Yeah but the devs aren't very happy either as they've already mentioned (Miku game development is expensive and they said it might have been the last for the VITA).
I love PJD and I am not lying. I'd hate it if that was the last full blown PJD game for the VITA.
Yeah.. T.T just look at the recent PS3, PSP Go and VITA did to backwards compatibility.
The next device would probably have no phyiscal disc b/c but maybe PSN available games compatibility.
