MW3 is going to be buggy and annoying for months at the least. If you can only afford one game right now, I'd say pick a different one than CoD, and wait until later.

It's this ridiculous idea that 8/10 means bad, or not good or good enough that's the problem. If someone can take an 8/10 score and fall off the deep end about how the reviewer didn't like the game or play on the right difficulty, etc. they've got issues. Those issues tend to revolve around the issue of 'Metascore'. It's absurd, and it's hurting gaming.
People don't even consider buying a 7/10 anymore. 7/10 until these past couple of years ...
I don't see that as a truly acceptable excuse. Of course it's true, but only because they chose to go that route. Nintendo up until a year ago had made billions in profit during the Wii/DS era. They could have afforded to hire the talent it takes to continue working on and releasing Wii games, even as they worked on the Wii U. They chose not to. Now they are paying for it.

I don't mind if it ends up being better, and would actually love that. But people saying such things before they've even played it is a little disturbing.
I'm still on board for games like the Tales series, Dragon Quest, Demon's souls, Valkyria Chronicles, and Fire Emblem. Unless something amazing happens though, I'm pretty much done with Final Fantasy and the like. Also, with these IP's that I'm hanging in there with, I'm getting pretty damned tired of waiting a year and two years after the Japanese release to get a version that I can play too.

Gamestop had Tales of Graces f listed for a February release also. Now I have to doubt it again because here it's listed as To be announced... Come on Namco!

Seriously. I don't care as much about power as I do performance and capability. I don't need the Wii U to 'be at least 3 times powerful as the PS3'. If it's 1.5 times the power of a PS3, but is far more optimized, efficient, has superior shading and resolution capability, then I'm good. I don't want it to cook my food, I want it to play awesome games.
All of that being said, my biggest worry/complaint/frustration with the little that I know so far...
