If they announce some more 'Rumble blast' or 'Mystery Dungeon' bullshit, I'm gonna take a sledge hammer to something.
Metacritic User review scores are a joke no matter what the game is. Fans tend to overrate, haters always hate, hardly anyone not in those two categories participates. As for the 'professional' average score? There tends to be an element of that same B.S. there also. Reviewing has become 'historical statement making' rather than proper critique. If that doesn't change, then pretty soon, no one is going to give a damn about game reviews.
Dear God.
I don't know that this is the best in history, but if the 3 companies put this sort of effort together every October/November/December, it can sure be the best era in gaming history.
This video sums up the writer of this review perfectly. Complete with epic Demons Souls music. lol
Derp. My bad. I meant Xenoblade of course.
I can't allow myself to care about this as much as I did before. I'm absolutely sick of Japanese games localization taking years just for a damned decision to localize. I would really have loved to play Xenogear, but the last patience I have for this 'Whenever, if ever we get around to it' crap is for Namco and the Tales series, and to be honest, they had better start doing better soon themselves...
Reggie F'ed up. When you hear about a game, with me at le...
ZeldaInformer.com, I must say that this is the most relevant article I've seen from your site. Good job. People are entitled to their opinions, but when they fault the game because of their own biases and shortcomings as a gamer, they should be called on it.
It's extremely smooth and seamless on the 3DS with the touch screen ability.
I would agree with you, but when it comes to direct influence on the types of games that most 'hardcore' gamers like and play now, Zelda has been more influential. Everyone knows Mario and DK belong in there, but this choice for the inaugural award probably will alienate the fewest people, and get the HoF off to a good start.
I think the last time I actually gave a shit wha Gamespot thought was around 2007 or so.
What a random, silly, and cool conversation. :)
Awesome. It would be surreal and probably overwhelming to have one's own work played by a symphony orchestra to such a large crowd of the most dedicated fans. I'm glad that these folks had a special moment. They deserve it for all of the entertainment they've brought us with these games.
Wearing fur may be messed up, but if you eat plants, you may as well eat animals. It's been proven in several scientific studies that Plants have feelings, can sense danger, communicate with each other, etc. So people basically have a choice. Starve. Or eat what you like, but kill in the most humane way possible. A vegetarian is no more 'moral' than a carnivore. Just because it's blood isn't red doesn't make it less barbaric. Just because you can't hear a plant scr...
Mario 'becomes a tanooki' version of himself via a magical item. He's not opening up the closet and putting on a tanooki coat, or buying one at Nordstrom's... PETA just takes any opportunity they can to get publicity because they feel people don't pay enough attention to their message. If you can't see the difference between real animal issues and what a video game is doing, there's little hope for you.
Unfortunately, some people just can't feel good about their purchasing choices, unless they bad mouth the other options out there. I own a 3DS. I'll be buying a Vita. There will be solid, quality games on both that well rounded gamers want to play. Period.
The great accolades just keep on coming for this game. I can't wait.
It's really been one of those months. Great games.
Lack of games? I don't own Kinect so I realy don't know what's on there, but until this year the Wii was my most played console this generation. If Kinect has 2 awesome games released in America this year, then it's 1 more game than Wii owners in America got... Come on Reggie.
I played Skyward Sword for over 8 hours yesterday and I wasn't tired. Nor had I lol 'stayed in shape' by playing Wii games, as i haven't really played mine since DKCR last year. If simple, accurate, non-forceful slice gestures tire you out and keep this extremely immersive game from being immersive, then you probably need to go see your doctor... Give me a break.
