The 3DS has struggled some, and not met expectations. Therefore the focus has been on that in a major way. While I would like to see some Wii U stuff, I don't expect to see anything serious really until January at the earliest. As of right now, Nintendo has to push the 3DS, and give developers time to have some quality product to show off.
It's rather absurd to believe that rumor over the developers who've praised the ease of programming. Anti-Nintendo/Pro-somebo...
Yeah, I've heard some of the stuff before. Don't mind the sarcasm, and like the humor. It just seemed like this one had a preface of hate.
Once the first few minutes of pure hate against the genre passed, it was an acceptable review... It just begs the question: If you knew that you were going to hate this game, why review it? To me the impact of the opinions became watered down.
Really tired of this kind of crap here at N4G...
Would work better with 3DS I think though. You can take pictures in any outdoor environment with it, while the Wii U controller is pretty much confined to an area not too far from your T.V. I'd take it for either system though.
How about a release date for the U.S.?
I think the problem is slightly complex: It wouldn't hurt Nintendo much at all to create a small studio and begin putting out a few mobile games. You can do that without using Mario and key franchises. The problem is that Nintendo's entire stance on mobile phone gaming is that to encourage it would eat away at the ability of larger, classic gaming efforts to profit. If Nintendo/Sony/MS put out high quality mobile phone games, they will be slowly turning away more and more people from...
'I’m here to ask you if Nintendo can make 3D, one of the key features of their new system, as relevant as it was just a few years ago when James Cameron’s Avatar revitalized interest in the technology.'
Yeah, perhaps. They are finally going to unlock the 3D video recording feature that everyone was excited about - in a few months, and a few good games are finally on the horizon. Once the games come out, 3D video recording enabled, Youtube, and the ability to buy and w...
Nothing wrong with that at all. As long as there are other choices that are more traditionally make and aren't so traditionally female in color, power to them.
battyschlaps122, this is a country that's been fascinated with monsters for a long time. From Godzilla to Pokemon ya know? Americans like a free roaming do whatever you like R.P.G.'s like Elder Scrolls and the like, Japan loves Monsters, and R.P.G.'s built around them.
The only thing shocking about that announcement to me is that Nintendo doesn't see it as an insult in categorizing it as such.
'American douchebags'? Mind not lumping us all together?
Why?
'Because in spite of all of the price gouging, cheapskating with design choices, game delays, lack of games and empty gestures, the 3DS concept is a great one. Once Nintendo finally gets the package right, it will take off, skyrocketing to the heavens like its predecessor, with all manner of amazing games to follow.'
Yep, you can say whatever you want, by right. However, you may want to allow it to occur to you that absolute statements at this early stage such as '3DS is Officially a failure' just sound douchey, fanboyish, alienating, and laughable considering that consistently since the price cut, the 3DS is outselling everything else on the market with no slowing in sight.
With the 64, they stubbornly stuck with cartridges. Some great games didn't/couldn't come to the system because of that. The GameCube had poor 3rd party support largely because of the disc format as well. Nintendo insisted on doing something so different in order to save money that it alienated developers, and in return gamers. With the Wii, they initially charged $250 for a console that is basically 2 and 1/4 game Cubes, with part of that ability going toward the controller.

Yeah, but balancing price and quality for Nintendo always seems to boil down to: 'Offer as little as we can get away with for the maximum price we can get away with.' It's starting to bite them in the ass. Every company wants to maximize profits, but Nintendo constantly attempts to do so by purposely shortchanging and skimping in areas that are important to customers. Marketing isn't anywhere near as effective when people have caught on to the game, and feel bamboozled.
The hell is this doing in the DS section? Stories languish in limbo full of reports, and this stuff happens every day. It's getting annoying.
I downloaded and played Super Mario Bros. beat it (with warp zones) in little over 10 minutes. I would never have rebought that game on the VC with as many times as I've played it, and due to the fact that I can go and fire it up on my NES any time.
Those games are not only extremely old, but most of them I've played to death, and just don't want to play except for every once in a while for a few minutes when 'the spirit hits me'. The GBA games need to be...
I hope so too. That's great news if true. But I wonder about that since Abyss for 3DS has been delayed until that same time period. Hard to imagine them releasing two Tales games in the West at the same time, even if they are on completely different platforms. Here's hoping for the best!
On 3DS you could actually take pictures outside in nature environments so I'd prefer it on that, but I'd take it on Wii U for sure.
