Wind Waker HD isn't just an HD port. It's an HD remake. There will be new features and supposedly dungeons as well which were originally made but unused in the final product. Well worth $60 imo.
As for others, let's take for instance Sony bundling God of War 1 & 2 together in HD, I think that one reason for that was because those games could be bought at the time for less than $20 (as PS2 games) since they were still being sold in the greatest hits series. Not...
While on one hand that may sound like a good idea, what's to stop a site from being blacklisted simply because some fanboy and his friends from any particular group decide they don't like the subject matter or tone of an article? The system we have isn't perfect, but it works well enough until they think of something better.
I hate the rampant doom and gloom and troll articles. But we can't have a situation on this site, where immature people, their friends, a...
Yeah, but you can't actually play your movies on it. Understandable, and it definitely will improve the life of the console, but some people want that so I don't think it would be bad to have the option since they could do it with a firmware update.
*Probably not important to you, but I didn't 'disagree' with you.
Good article. I agree with almost every potential update.
Sometimes people buy a game because they are looking to expand their horizons and try something new. If they get 'tricked' by a publisher, or fanboy hype, then yes, they've been had, but they will also be soured on that company and its gamers to some extent. So it's a two-edged sword.
I think that the delay may have more to do with Ubisoft wanting more Wii U gamers who are 'done with' NSMB U when they release the game. A very high number of Wii U owners are buying NSMB U (1 in 2 or 3 I think), and though the games (Mario and Rayman) are different, they ARE both platformers. Why release now when a large number still have NSMB U as their platforming game priority? Release it later in the year, and people (if they aren't still angry) will be more hungry for a seco...
You say that Wii U owners look bad by being upset/boycotting/whatever, but pretty much every time something similar happened to PS360 owners this past gen, the reaction was the same. People are people. If they are promised something at a certain time and they don't get it, they are disappointed. Especially if it involves them saving money toward something. Period.
If this is true, then I think THE major difference between how Sony and Nintendo can move forward will be apparent based on how it all plays out. Sony isn't that afraid to lose money for a while. Nintendo is scared to death of losing money, period.
I for one, am very glad I waited. I preordered (put $5 down on a Wii U Deluxe also for Zombi U) but when the Wii U arrived I ended up waiting. Now I'll get the console, the game and the Pro controller for an honest deal. I think everybody wins.
And in other news, the sun will be seen from earth tomorrow.
I would, but I prefer that it release at a price that won't alienate too many gamers. I don't want there to be a significant struggle.
I'm so tired of hating this place 4 out of 5 times I come here. N4G is absolute crap right now, and probably for the next year or so since the other consoles are likely to release within that time frame.
Where's the actual News N4G?
Speaking of N64 pain, on my first controller for it, the thumb portion of the analog stick broke off. I still played hours of Star Wars Pod Racer on it by digging my thumb into the metal. lol
Yeah, some non-Nintendo gamers often love to scream for new IP's, but don't even play what's available. Or, an old unused IP will come back be it like Kid Icarus, or the buying of Monolith Software and the Xeno series that comes with it, and people act like that's no good either. Fortunately, their numbers aren't as many as they'd like to believe, and as long as they aren't even playing these games they love to knock, who cares what they think?
It's kind of like Disney characters and general story formula arsenal. So many great games have been made using those characters, that those characters now are expected to, and do appear in a variety of situations, and attract a lot of great talent to their development teams. Furthering their appeal to people across the decades.
Sony and MS came along a bit later in the gaming business. But if the kids who grew up playing and loving Ratchet and Clank and Halo still love t...
Pachter...
Not. Sure. If. Serious...
I didn't say you can't tell the difference. I said that the difference isn't significant to most people. I.E. The difference doesn't matter due to how little a difference it makes to the average consumer. They don't see a comparison of 30 and 60 fps and say 'OH MY GOD!' They see it (if they see it) and say 'Hmm... I guess that one looks a little bit better. What's the difference in price?' Guess which one they're buying? The cheaper one.

And yet, how many average, every day consumers 'train their eyes'? How many can even tell a significant difference between 30fps and 60fps for that matter?
Every bit of extra power, and added cost of the new consoles is going to be catering to the relatively tiny number of people who love to feel good about themselves for something like that. When the consoles don't sell well due to the price, all they'll have left is to shake their heads at how 'stupid...
As compared to a 'Sonineyearold' response?
See? That silly crap goes both ways.
While I understand the point of you 'Read the article' people, why are you so upset about his being wrong and the perception? This is the comments section.
You sound like you just want/need for there to be a negative opinion in people's minds about Nintendo.
I hope not, because that's just sad.
