Canada numbers are more than likely around 10 percent the US numbers.
No matter who sells more, they will both be successful for Sony and Microsoft.
Not a surprise being US pre-order figures. It has always been Microsoft's strongest market. However, PlayStation 4 pre-orders are insane.
Brew you are correct. VGChartz tracks sales sold to consumers, not shipped to retailer. VGC also doesn't track digital sales. At least not yet.
The game deserves its sales.
X/Y will have better legs than GTAV. Nintendo games always seem to have the best legs. Though I don't see it selling as well as GTAV.
I know several people who haven't played Pokemon in a few generations who have gotten X/Y. X/Y has the biggest changes to the series that I have ever seen.
Good work.
Here is the list of the 'Top 10' sales articles I have done. Scroll down to see the ones by platform.

Minecraft is the only Xbox Live Arcade game that would make the top 10. That includes third party ones.
I did top 10 lists by platforms earlier this year. The top 10 lists by platform and publisher will be updated once per year. As long as there is a change. I'm not going to do a top 10 of NES games more than once.
I would expect Dead Rising 3 to sell between 1.5 and 2 million units lifetime. DR1 has sold 2m units on the Xbox 360 and DR2 1.4m units on the Xbox 360.
Ryse I would guess closer to 1m than 2m.
Basically hit the nail on the head. 1 bundled game and a bunch of Halo and Gears of War games.
360 sales did a little better than doubling week-over-week, while the PS3 nearly tripled in sales.
Retail only.
It will either be GTAV or The Last of Us. Both games deserve it.
I'm sure it did more than that.
Best game to close out a generation of gaming which set many records.
Yeah definitely.
40 million no question. It will probably hit 42 million by the end of the year.
