I see the PlayStation 4 lifetime sales to be around 33m-35m by the end of the year.
Sony released shipped figures, while VGC tracks sold to consumers. There is usually one million units on store shelves around the world.
Congrats Sony with selling 24 million PS4s to consumers. That is more than the Xbox One and Wii U combined.
Halo 5, Forza and Tomb Raider will help sell a few more million units.

@DarkOcelet - Off the top of my head Microsoft has Halo 5, Forza 6, Quantum Break and Fable Legends.
Yeah Xbox One sales were as low as the Wii U as some points, but since the price cut sales have been a lot closer to the PS4 than the Wii U. It won't catch the PS4, but it will now put up good numbers.
@Cellode - Yes that does make sense. The Xbox One has done great in the US and good in the UK. It is the rest of the world where the console is struggling. It is basically dead in Japan.
Agreed. The price cut did an amazing job of pushing Xbox One sales. At least in the US. I'm surprised Microsoft didn't cut the price anywhere else to help increase sales even more.
@Cellode - Yeah more than likely.
Yeah that is really impressive for a console's first year. Casuals normally don't buy consoles until the price hits $200 to $300. Sales will only increase over the next few years.
@Cellode - 80 million is possible, though unlikely. The Wii was able to do it in a similar timeframe (4 full years + launch period). However, the PlayStation 4 is currently tracking behind the Wii.
These sales are through the end of June. The PS4 figure was for the beginning of August.
