Yeah really amazing numbers. It has a chance of hitting 20 million by year end.
Sony has done a great job this gen since the beginning.
Agreed. The Xbox One was outsold by the Wii U quite a bit early on in the year.
Agreed
With all the doom and gloom about dedicated gaming consoles from analysts, this is well the opposite of doom and gloom.
Agreed. I had expected the PS4 and Xbox One to outsell the PS3 and Xbox 360, due to their strong starts. But I would have never have expected a 2 to 1 difference.
Yeah. Though the biggest markets for the Xbox is the US and UK.
Agreed. The PS4 has sold amazing since its launch.
Xbox One has been outselling the PS4 in the US. Not worldwide.
The 7.3 million figure is most likely shipped to retail.
Agreed! The PS4 is winning this gen, but the Xbox One and Wii U are both doing well and there are amazing games to play on all 3 consoles.
Microsoft has done everything it can in the US to win this holiday season. Bundled Xbox One's could be found for as low as $329 at many retailers. A lot lower than what standalone PS4's could be found for.
The PlayStation 4 should easily get to 18 million by the end of year and possibly top 20 million.
That 13.5 million shipment figure is for September 30.
Agreed. This is a great gen for gaming. There are fun games on all 3 systems.
The PS4 will easily get to 15 million and will most likely get to 18 million, with a long shot of hitting 20 million.
Of course the Xbox One has outsold the Wii U almost every month since launch and will probably pass it by the end of the year or early next year.
Agreed. If I had the money I would own all three consoles, since there are games I want to play on all of them.
Microsoft is doing whatever they can to win the US this holiday season with the $50 off. Will they win in the US? We will find out. However, even if they do the PS4 will stay ahead of the Xbox One worldwide.
I agree. Microsoft and Sony had a great November. Microsoft did everything it could to win the month, at least in the US.
