Well, history tells us that although Nintendo has made every console different from the last, their handheld systems tend to have at least a short lineage. We had the Gameboy line and the DS line. So, if the Switch falls into the handheld category, the Switch could be the first in a new line of systems (Lite aside, as it's more or less a variant of the current Switch). Perhaps Switch will be the name of the line. I think there's a good chance of that happening, not just because of...

It's got its work cut out for it. Anything's possible, but what it needs is to do better than the XB1, first and foremost. MS should focus on conquering one hill at a time, and I personally think the biggest thing holding the Xbox brand back is not Sony. It's MS. Hopefully all those studio acquisitions will be put to good use.

All three are system sellers in their own right, and they're all different enough genres, so it actually comes down to what you prefer. Uncharted is (or technically was, since the series is pretty much over) a fine example of a puzzle platformer/third person shooter. God of War is a fine example of a hack and slash. Horizon is a fine example of an open world game.

There's also The Last of Us (series) and Spider-Man (soon to be series). Death Stranding and Days G...

Yeah, I leave politics out of my hobby, personally. Sometimes I feel like I'm in the minority.

I'm surprised Hasbro didn't cease and desist the name of the studio. Lol. But it's cool that this is getting its own tournament.

I know in recent years the trending thing has been people who have less time to play games complaining that it takes them longer to beat games, and therefore, that games should be shorter so they can have the accomplishment of beating them more often. I get that life gets in the way for many people, myself included, but that's hardly a game's fault. I'm glad this article is coming at it from a different angle. What is a valid complaint is when games tend to feel more and more r...

I've weighed in on this topic before, so I'll give the short version. No, but they can be too padded.

If it's at all like the first game, I have no trouble believing that. I'm mixed about it myself. But, it's also something I'm glad to have experienced in spite of all that. So...sure, I can do it all over again.

I plan on giving this a try at some point. As far as flawed games that try to do a bunch of things but come up short go, I much prefer Deadly Premonition to The Sinking City. At least Deadly Premonition is just the right amount of stupid and engaging to make up for its shortcomings. If this prequel is more of the same...I'm not in a rush to get it, but I'm curious enough to give it a try eventually.

Games.

That sounds plausible. Hopefully it won't be an issue in practice though. I guess we will see when the PS5 hits. I'll make a point of trying at least one PS4 game on it. Worst case, it's not as though I'm selling my PS4, so if there's a problem I'll just stick with that.

I'm guessing they didn't think it would do as well, though it does feel like a dick move. Oh well, I suppose that's where owning multiple systems pays off. I haven't actually finished the first game yet, but maybe I will continue it on Vita before moving over to the Switch for the sequel, even though the second game apparently includes the first. I'll give it some thought.

I'm getting a bit of a .hack// or SAO vibe. It seems lit. I might check it out.

Yeah, I had my share of problems with it but I enjoyed it overall. A game that plays like that but with some minor improvements here and there could be excellent.

Nice! I look forward to backlogging this with the first two games. I hope it comes out over here. Even better if it can continue to have dual audio. I’m not betting on the PS4 version being localized but at least I have a Switch now.

Yep, I’m the same way. I have plenty to play in the meantime.

I would usually say regret, loneliness and a full HDD, but I'm seeing someone now for the first time in ages, so I didn't even know there was a steam summer sale going on. Thanks for sharing that info though.

Sony’s not like MS. They have a marketing budget, sure, but the bulk of their funds go into their products, not the other way around.

Um...what? You realize that not even close to every single PS exclusive has come to PC, right? In fact, only a very small percentage have, and they're not exactly games from the last year or so. Actually, not only does that open up a new market for a few select games, but, there's very likely an ulterior motive here. Think about it. What will all those PC players have to do if they play and enjoy Horizon and want to play its upcoming sequel?
