Am I the only one who hates these April Fools articles and finds them quite stupid?
Well...at least all versions are equal now, which is to say, they’re all equally censored...
I feel as though this is the opposite of the "debacle" with Sekiro. If you find a game like this too easy, you should play something else. Problem solved. Nintendo isn't going to stop targeting the younger crowd with certain titles.
Please don't give Elder Scrolls the Fallout 76 treatment Bethesda. Make this one good. That's all I'm asking.
I'm sorry...what?
So...they're replacing the original with the remastered version then. That's not all that shocking.
It's cases like this that make me glad I don't play and support Fortnite.
Here we go again. We're supposed to believe this will turn out differently than every other trip Phil has made to Japan? At least he's stopping over in Korea too this time, so he won't just be annoying those poor Japanese publishers who are probably sick of him wasting their time.
Um...no it wouldn't. Access to game "purchases" in that case would still be contingent on servers. If you're not getting the experience of ownership, why pay as if you are? Streaming is a service, so it's correct for payment to be structured as such.
I doubt it, and it’s still way too early to proclaim a winner of a gen that hasn’t even started yet (but I’m still betting on Sony, with Nintendo in second).
Well, Google had better pull out all the stops or the only success will be us as a consumer successfully halting this all-streaming future that companies bent out of shape about used game sales are trying to shove down our throats.
@thesoftware730 There are incentives. Note that the Stadia doesn't offer the standard digital download option either for people who may not care so much about having a game physically but who may prefer being able to have a game saved on their system and accessible at any time, not pending connection to a server. PS4s and XB1s are also multimedia devices. It's possible this Stadia will have support for Netflix among other things, but it won't play blurays, and Google has yet to...
The difference between the Stadia and those other services is they're on systems that aren't just built around those services. If you don't like PSNow, don't pay for that service and just enjoy the regular physical and digital catalog the PS4 has to offer. You can also try Now out and see if you like it, and just opt not to stick with it if it turns out it's not your cup of tea. If you buy Google's stupid device and decide you don't like their service, you just ...
True, but when this PoS becomes obsolete and its servers get shut off, no one will be able to play its games. Call my old systems obsolete, but I can still play games on them. There may not be any new games coming out, but enjoying the ones I have isn't contingent on there being a server to support them.
Oh, and anyone who checks this thing out had better hope it's reasonably successful, or it will be obsolete in a year's time or less. Companies like Google...
Thank you. People just need to learn that some games are not for them and stop complaining when the devs don't bend over backwards to accommodate them. For example, this is a game for people who want a challenge. For those who don't, that's fine, but you have plenty of other games to choose from that are more your speed.
So...just because a game wasn't released on their store first they don't want it? What's your endgame Epic? Seriously, they have this infuriating trend of not only paying off devs and publishers to keep games off Steam, but games that are often previously announced as coming to Steam, and yet they turn their noses up at a well-regarded game being ported over? I thought their goal was to make their service more attractive by securing games for it. Saying no to a game just becau...
Yeah, and more expensive too, since this will cost more than any of those collections/individual game downloads. It's not for me. However, I'm sure some people who are big fans of Sega titles will likely want to check this out, especially if it includes some games not in other re-releases. On the other hand, you of all users questioning this does make me less certain of that.
@Jon_Targaryen What first game are you talking about? The one I played is as basic as this series gets. It's not a bad starting point, but the second game and beyond really expand on it. Gameplay wise, even the PSP sequel has ledge kills, which that first game does not. A remaster would probably fix the lack of subtitles, but it can't fix the basic structure of go to town, do three objectives, then kill dude. All subsequent games at least try to have variety in their mission stru...
And support EA? Are you crazy?
Well, traditionally even-numbered gens have tended to innovate less, and build more on whatever foundation was set the previous gen with better hardware. I like them because they’re comfortable gens, but that does come at the expense of any kind of significant shake-up.
