Well, I'm definitely an outlier. I appreciate nice graphics and they can certainly enhance an already great experience, but gameplay is where it's at for me, and the importance of story for me is relative to how important the story is to the game I'm playing. I like variety so sometimes I like to get immersed in a game with a good story and sometimes I just like killing things. I guess what I look for is a good experience regardless of what I'm playing.
Whether it supports that resolution or not, it looks like Sony is planning for the future. It's not super relevant to me as I'm still using a 1080P TV, but I'm sure there will be noticeable improvements in visuals and frame rate regardless. Maybe next gen I'll finally get into the 4K craze, but I'm definitely not going to be investing in an 8K screen. I mean, I don't know how much that would cost but I can guarantee it's more than I can afford.
You think? There are companies that have a stick up their butt about physical media, so they're spreading rumours about its demise, but none of it is true.
Yeah, a while ago I had to make a conscious decision to only check out one or two sales a month as I can often spend more than I intended to, largely on impulse buys.
I'm all about games so I'll be pre-ordering a PS5 as soon as I am able to. Well, that and pre-ordering allows me to pay off a system in installments, which makes it so much easier to afford it, but I'm going with the PS5 regardless.
Sweet, I'm even more stoked for this now. I'll have to ask my friend with the Sir Daniel Fortesque tattoo if he's getting this on day 1.
Nope, only PS exclusives need to reinvent the wheel. Everything else in this industry gets a free pass on that front, because who doesn't like hypocrisy? /s Also, lol at the name of this site.
As a matter of practicality, it's no mystery why. Not only are Japanese people out and about a lot, but Japanese apartments aren't exactly large, and it seems as though modern renters often do away with TVs entirely as they can have devices serve a similar function that just have to plug into a wall when the battery is low and take up much less space. Nintendo made the right choice for their home market with their system's hybrid design as it doesn't require a monitor to plu...
Correction EA: Your "old way" of releasing games isn't working for you, and knowing you and just how clueless you are, I say good luck with your new way of releasing games that was likely conceived by the same individuals. How about putting your effort into making good games first and foremost instead of pushing an agenda? Just a suggestion.
I used to love Konami, then they decided "screw gaming" and put all their focus on pachinko machines. Well, screw them. I'm glad we not only still have Capcom but they have actually been quite actively turning out both new games and retro re-releases. I wish I could say the same for Konami. I plan on checking out their Castlevania collection, but it's clear that they're not the same company they used to be.
To think I used to visit that site regularly. I haven't for quite some time though. I hated their list format even back then, and their decent writing staff were slowly but surely being replaced by MS fanboys, so I made tracks.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the PS5 can do with its SSD.
I'm sorry. Great game? If EA are that kind of delusional then there's no hope for them.
Bankruptcy for Epic? They have Fortnite to thank for their success, but they don't seem to have a good longterm plan in place. Paying off devs and publishers to not release their games on Steam can only get them so far.
That and they can't be bothered to release better products regardless of whether they're nickel and diming us.
A US senator doing something good for gaming? The world must be ending. But yeah, I wish the practice of putting loot boxes and pay to win elements in retail releases would be banned, so I support this.
Because we all know Sony first party studios can do no right. The games media says so and we should blindly believe everything they say. /s
Don’t push for an industry dominated by GaaS then.
Western culture strikes again with its strange aversion to showing the outside of people's bodies, but their innards are fair game.
Not as good as the original Mass Effect Trilogy. I've played worse games, but the hype train did that game no favours and it really isn't a worthy entry in a series that set the bar so high. It may not be the worst game out there, but it is perhaps the most disappointing title I've played this gen.
