I love Disney, but it's kind of scary how powerful they're becoming, and how their business rivals are either falling by the wayside or getting acquired by them.

That said, it makes sense that Sony would want to partner with them for licensed titles. I mean, they own a lot of stuff now, so they're the ones to talk to if anyone wants to make or publish games based on any of it.

I don't think the guy in this article gets it. When I have two minutes to kill when I'm out and about and when I have two or more hours to kill and am at home are two different situations. Obviously if I'm at home and have time to spare I look for more substantial experiences that can only be provided by consoles and PC, not mobile devices.

I have a phone to kill a couple minutes if I need to, but that's really not what I turn to for an ideal gaming expe...

Well, regardless there's at least a partnership of sorts on the streaming front. Thanks for enlightening me on some of the finer points of this arrangement that I skimmed over. Either way they're bringing stiff competition to Google's system that will only be good for doing one thing. I mean, if the Stadia doesn't even offer the best streaming service, what's the point of getting that expensive coaster?

I don't think I'd classify business ri...

Y'know Epic, it's probably good that you're trying to provide competition for Steam, but you make it really hard to like you.

Perhaps not, but I think Capcom has been doing quite well with providing quality games lately, and I would stand by that even if they didn't look as good as they do. There's nothing wrong with making their games look good so long as that's not the only thing they focus on.

Well, looks like this site didn't get the memo that if the games media doesn't like something we're not allowed to like it. Ok, that's beating a dead horse at this point. I'm glad there are sites out there that aren't biased against PS exclusives though.

Except Sony has had a streaming service for quite a while now, and they've always been about options. The future of gaming is options for game distribution. Yeah, Sony and MS will invest in that, but that doesn't mean they're going to axe off physical media or digital downloads anytime soon. MS might try to do away with physical media sooner than Sony, but in any case, both companies are merely exploring this new market. They're also stacking the deck even more than it alr...

I like remasters but they’re more expensive and more sporadic than just having access to games from the previous gen. Remasters are good to have when there’s no other option for playing older games, but I for one would rather just be able to play older games if I so wish.

I never use rest mode, and I've never had a huge problem with game updates. If they aren't done automatically, it takes like two minutes tops to download one. If I were concerned about it I know that rest mode is an option I can use. Why is this article even a thing? You have to be a rank amateur to not know how to use your PS4, which is perfectly acceptable for a consumer, but less so for a site supposedly dedicated to gaming.

Nintendo says hi, and MS has been friendly with them lately too. Also, MS isn't cancelling their next Xbox. They might be exploring options in case it doesn't perform as well as they hope, but they're still hanging on in the console market for the time being.

I personally think linear games have become a bit underrated. I mean, I love the sense of freedom that open worlds give, but I very much dislike the travel time that pads the game out and that much of that travel time isn't even through particularly exciting scenery. Even more points off if there's travel back and forth and there isn't a fast travel option. A well done open world game addresses most of the genre's shortcomings, but that's just it, the game has to be don...

You realize that assuming both companies have been working on their systems all this time, it's too late for them to change their hardware in any significant way, right? MS can't go back to AMD and say "looks like Sony has a better chip in their system, can we switch ours out for a better one?"

Sony also didn't counter MS. Both the PS4 and XB1 would have actually been priced the same at launch, regardless, but MS decided it was a good idea to force...

But, the PS5 is a new system which is something people generally find more exciting than a mid-gen upgrade. Also, it's the next PlayStation so it's sure to have exclusives people want to play. It also sounds like an absolute beast of a system, at least for a console. I think it will do pretty well if it's priced at $500, personally.

As someone who is pro-environmental, I fail to see how being a gamer isn't an environmentally friendly hobby. Even if you buy new and prefer physical copies, the odds of them ending up in a landfill aren't very high as gamers either keep or trade in their games, hardware and accessories. I for one would sooner see my collection go to someone who would appreciate it than a recycle depot. Just saying.

Gaming may use electricity, but it apparently uses a lot less ...

I disagree. I love both of those series too. They don't have the awesomeness that is Monokuma, but they're still great.
