Bias of expertise? I agree with the bias part. I question the expertise part.
Now that's just SAD...ok, I'll stop.
Well, he did help CPR a system that was considered dead on arrival and turn it into a...marginal success? I mean, if this gen is any indication, Xbox will never again reach the height it did with the 360. But, maybe there's some credit to be had for the fact that the XB1 didn't die in 2013. Since then though, the dude has spent more time annoying people on social media than listening to the consumer.
Consumer: "Hey MS, some exclusives would be nice."

I don't think Sony will over price it. I'm sure they can pack even more power into their new system if they want to, but they want it to be consumer friendly. Most people think it will be $500USD because that would be the best compromise between affordability and allowing Sony to up the ante tech wise.
Unless people can monetize levels they create in Dreams, I don't see what the problem is. It's not like the individuals making these can profit from it. Media Molecule also technically isn't responsible for what their audience creates as it's not like they commissioned those levels themselves. I suppose they have the power to remove content if a company gets really bent out of shape about it, so even in the worst case I think they have all their bases covered. To my knowle...
Well, duh. Reviews are just opinions. They're not fact and they're all subjective. Sure, the individuals who write professional reviews are paid, but that clearly doesn't mean they're unbiased. They're really just meant as one of a handful of tools those who are unsure about a game can use to help decide whether they should check it out, and their importance is blown way out of proportion. Besides, in this day and age it's easy to look up gameplay footage to see f...
That's awesome. I mean, he isn't with Konami anymore so from a corporate standpoint it probably doesn't mean much, but Metal Gear Solid is what it is thanks to this man. His blessing is perhaps the greatest compliment one could get. Konami had better not hit this with a cease and desist.
I like having options. I love owning my games so, having boxes is something I enjoy. On the other hand, digital is a great option to have, and in some situations it’s a blessing. For example, because I like doing random things, I recently completed my plan to fit every downloadable PSP retro compilation on one memory stick. It’s a fascinating oddity, and one I don’t plan on making use of more than occasionally, but it’s something I’ve been wanting to try doing for a while.
I'll give this reviewer credit for that much. That many don't finish games is a big part of why I stopped trusting reviews ages ago. I mean, how can you call yourself a professional, and then presume to talk about something knowing full well that there's a lot you don't know about it? It's baffling. I get that some games are longer than others, especially nowadays, so finishing games can be a chore, but that's kind of a reviewer's job. There are a lot of reaso...
While I think Nintendo stumbled onto something with the Switch, I personally think both Nintendo and Sony should just keep doing what they're doing as they've both found their niches in the industry and both are doing quite well. Also, Sony's PS5 sounds like a beast of a system. If they tried to make that portable, I don't want to know what kind of cumbersome monstrosity would result from that. If it were to somehow avoid being cumbersome (and avoid having a terrible batter...
There was once a time where I did look at that number, but after giving it some thought some years ago it became obvious that it's just an arithmetic mean of a bunch of arbitrary numbers, which in turn means that it too is arbitrary. I read reviews in those days that did nothing but complain, but gave the game upwards of 8/10 review scores because it was a AAA title and/or an Xbox exclusive, and I read reviews that seemed to praise the game but for some reason couldn't give it more t...
Well, Sony has certainly succeeded in exposing the integrity or lack thereof of those sites and others. I mean, years back with GT5 they successfully proved that reviewers often don't play games for long enough for their opinions to be taken seriously, and here they proved that certain sites have an anti-Sony agenda. I look forward to the next PS exclusive that comes around and discredits various sites in new and spectacular ways. We might have to wait until the PS5 for that, but I'...
Not to be this guy, but are we in an age now where no one understands Roman numerals and needs an Arabic number next to them to avoid confusion? I know collective intelligence is on the decline, but come on.
Shhh...reviewers with fragile egos who need to believe they're right about everything won't like it if you present facts. Sales figures? Pfft, what kind of business cares about that? Arbitrary numbers assigned to reviews posted by random sites are what they should focus on. /s
I sure as heck don't think of mobile as a gaming platform, let alone one I prefer to play on. Time killing is not what I would consider serious gaming, although it is an ADD contributor. Seriously, we're now in an age where far too many people can't go five minutes without fidgeting with their phone and mobile gaming doesn't help with that. I suppose if you have a loose definition of what constitutes a gamer, those who fidget with their phones when you're trying to have...
True. I have so many questions about what constitutes good videogame journalism these days. To be fair I had my reservations prior to the wave of third-rate reviews for this game, but they aren't exactly giving me much confidence in reviewers.
Because they're mono-gendered species? How is that difficult for some people to understand?
Well, I guess the Switch version it is. I feel for those who don't have a Switch though and were looking forward to playing this. At least this shafting doesn't come with the extra diarrhea dump where the version of the game denied to Western audiences has extra content that we're effectively denied entirely, as I'm pretty sure both versions have the same content in this case.
We're not getting the PS4 version? I hate when companies give a giant middle finger to those who were looking forward to checking the game out on a particular system when there is a version that exists in Japan.
So...like some emperors in real Japanese history handled the "bosses" they had to face? It wasn't always currency, but there was bribing involved in many events that shaped Japan's history. The Nara period was definitely all about money though. It's good that a game set in Japan simulates that time-honored tradition. Granted, it involves "throwing money at them" in a much more literal manner, but this is a videogame, so...
