...of a game getting slammed, because the dev hyped the hell out of their game. All of the talk about "we can pull off 360's graphics on the Wii" was 100% BS and bogus hype-talk. If they'd never said anything, this game would have been rated MUCH higher, across the board.
Moral: Devs need to STFU, and make the best game possible with the hardware you're dev'ing for; the rest will work itself out.

1.) This wasn't for a year...only 6 months.
2.) You'd have to double that amount, to get a year's estimate....which wouldn't necessarily be accurate.
3.) It's impressive because this is ONLY New Zealand and Australia...not the larger markets.

The more I see of this game, it just looks uglier, and more boring than before. I'm starting to think they just put a few of BioWare's flunkies on this game, and EA fleshed out the dev team with some of their internal goons. The REAL BioWare has been hard at work on the masterpiece that will be Mass Effect 2.
Hell, I couldn't even make myself play anymore after the first couple hours. The sh*tty last-gen controls and gameplay ruined it for me.
No, that would be bandaid fix. But, I honestly doubt Sony will ever come up with anything better, or they would have done it already.

I just renewed mine in May (same as the last 6 yrs. acually), but I still jumped all over this. I'm trading PGR4 at GameStop, and using the $10.00 on Amazon Live Marketplace...and I'll sell the chatpad and headset for cheap. I'll still come out cheaper than the $39.00 I just paid Amazon for the 12+1 Live card, and I'll have the upcoming year of Live taken care of in advance.
...and it has much higher resolution, and better textures than the actual PS3 game. :p
This isn't being made by EPIC. They bought the dev, Chair Entertainment, who had already made 'Undertow', using UE3. EPIC is just funding and, of course backing with extra staff to help them further exploit UE3....but EPIC is NOT the dev. MS is publishing.

Not including Condemned: Criminal Origins, and the first time you witness one of the mannequins "come to life", or the first hallucination scene involving the mannequins. THOSE were true "Oh SH*T" moments.

MS made their move MONTHS ago. Not only did they release the Halo3/Fable 2 bundle, but they've also got ALL of their 3 SKUs under $400, starting at $199. What more do they need to do??
