I used to think that this game, and many others like it, would never be re-released in any fashion due to the licensing nightmare involved. That was till I saw TMNT Re-Shelled from Ubi Soft. That game probably required more licensing than getting the rights to re-release this game would.
No one said he would discontinue the game advertising in the copies already installed. He will still make money off those ads, this is one of two things.
1) He is trying to push more downloads which equals more ad views

2) There is legal action from someone and he is being silent on the matter. Most people inciting the legal action don't talk about it. Information on legal threats usually comes from the party being threatened as th...
She-Ra and Hordack are on the list of upcoming characters. Basic sprites have been shown in various sprite lists. Just have to wait for them to be animated and integrated into the game.
Checking out their sprite list, Teela, Evil Lynn and many others are coming. It just takes time to animate them and integrate them into the game.
She-Ra and Hordack are also on the way too.
I doubt this would ever hit something like Kickstarter, that is a great way to get shut down by the IP owner or a company that has licensed the characters.
This is an interesting situation to be in since this is really the highest profile fan game for He-Man so it remains to be seen how the copyright owners will react. It could set a precedent for future fan games based on other 80's cartoons that probably have low chance of being made into games anytime soon.
Hopefully characters like Clawful will be added in future releases. What is there is interesting and shows promise for better things to come.
I knew when I saw that it was on sale, I had to use it for the preview image. That game is iconic.
Are PS3 and Xbox 360 really "retro"?

I think there is a place for these hacks, it is no different than the Game Genie to me. I don't use them but can see how they would be popular with new players.
They already shot the original "Shining Force Online" down hence the name change to "Shining Empire". While the devs are open minded and not upset at Sega, they obviously would rather work with Sega on this in an official capacity.
Looking at what was in the pipeline just makes me wish Sega could have held off announcing the Saturn at least one more year.
Sega killed it too soon. They also executed the timing on this system all wrong.
Depends on the skills of the gamer. For some, Castlevania is amazingly tough. For others, it is a breeze.
I don't think it was a console exclusive, just that the publisher sees PC as an option (or it could be the Steam Box news that changed things).
Either way, it is cool to see another good game come to PC so that players not interested in dropping a few hundred dollars on a console can enjoy it too.
Also, the PR video has "Final Cut" in the title.
You can look around Romhacking.net for tools to change graphics in many popular games, Mega Man III included.

I agree. It is impressive that a 1991 handheld could produce this good a looking game. Just shows what can happen with talented people at the helm.
@Chickey, your answer is more pointless than mine. At least mine was informative, not sure what the point of your answer was.
