Don' ferget ta eat fer real, ar? (that's how he would have said it).
I agree that would be better I think, to try Fallout 3 first because of the low price. If he/she does not like the gameplay, then he/she would not feel bad about paying the full price. Also there are several improvements on Fallout New Vegas that if I'd go back to play Fallout 3 it would feel backward. Inversely, if he/she liked Fallout 3 and wanted more then I would bet New Vegas will really serve the need.
I don't know if MS hopes that a few of the millions of XBox owners would also grab one of these, plus some collectors. More likely this is for those who don't have an Xbox and want to play Black Ops on that platform (the 12-months Live subsciption is a good incentive, as long as the price tag does not exceed the unit/game/subcription price) then it's a good one to pick up. The shirt probably only costs 10 or 15 bucks.
Pre order figures are a statistic/preview on how widely a product is accepted by the public. Not everyone pre-orders, and there are day 1/post launch purchasers still out there. What is good to know when seeing these figures is that if you're for example, a PC gamer, is that you're not alone playing this game and there are at least 128,000+ who share your interest. If the figures are for North America alone, then Xbox has the biggest demographic of fans of the series for that region. ...
Leakers stole the thunder. Just 3 weeks to go and this will be all forgotten.
I'm not going to watch the single player leak, but looking at the MP footage does not really spoil it for me much.
I might also add that the only punishment known yet is a ban to those who are doing the leaking - is this easily fixed with a purchase of a new console?
Your answer is the only one that is not rude, Paralex, and thank to that. I did not expect to get this little backlash. One cannot make any comment here without being misunderstood and castrated. They should have just told me that what I said is not always the case - I could have learned from them too. Like I said, from the videos I watched that is what I have observed. There may be other tactics that other players employ that I have not seen, because I am less exposed to console FPS gameplay...
From viewing all of the clips so far, I have observed gameplay in consoles are kind of running around in the open/in the middle of hallways. In PC's it's staying close to walls, checking corners, and running from cover to cover. We do have players running around like this, but they tend to die often. I guess whatever works best for a given platform.
Tuesday can't come quickly enough!!!
LOL, that got me thinking of a nice white creamy cake being delivered in the middle of a warzone. You just made my day, buddy! :-D I know that was a just a typo, no insult intended.
the game is CAD$70.00 for all platforms, $10 more than most AAA games. How anyone will feel about this, I will leave it all to my imagination.
That was the very last phrase at the end of the game.
Whoever worked on the mod must love FarCry too much. It's a 6-year old game but still fun to play nonetheless.
...no more money flying all over the place!!! xD Can't wait for this, just a little more than 3 weeks and goodbye to bad P2P lag.
...but for the PC community, Black Ops is the closest we could have had for MW2 (Dedicated Server Support + Admin tools), so Black Ops is creating a lot of excitement on the PC front by that feature alone. Less than four weeks to go and we say goodbye to horrible P2P lag/host advantage!
Getting back to topic:
Gun sounds in the video are apparently way much better than WaW. They now sound more lethal. Anyone who has played WaW will understand what I'm tryi...
Treyarch said quickscoping for sniper class has been removed in Black Ops.
I found Mass Effect 2 for PC on sale for $20 at Future Shop. If Fallout wasn't around the corner I would have picked up ME2 immediately.
I'm on the other side of the spectrum - I waited for the reviews before buying Fallout 3 because they were made by Bethesda, and not the original developers Black Isle Studios (now Obsidian). But Fallout 3 became a very pleasant experience and stayed true to the Fallout series. Now with Obsidian at the helm using Bethesda's engine, I'm very sure the adventure will not be disappointing and will be very rich. Tuesday is taking too long.
Or was it called Limited Edition? After playing the game, I would loved to own that Vault-Tec lunchbox and bobblehead.
I don't hide the fact I'm mainly a PC Gamer, and all of the PC Gamer friends I know have said they aren't going to pass Black Ops up, and those who have stayed true to avoiding MW2 said they will pick this one up. I believe it's safe to say that Black Ops appeals more to the PC Gamer community because of last year's disappointment with Infinity Ward.
COD4 is still a blast to play but is showing its age and diminishing playbase. WaW was released while COD...
Agreed. Despite the crashes in Fallout 3, I still wanted to play the game because it was a deep single player experience. I purposely delayed completing the main quest to check out the wasteland to see if I missed an area for more sidequests (I shouldn't have chosen that perk that reveals every marked location on the map ) . When the main game finished, I wanted more. Broken Steel and Point Lookout expanded on the adventure but were too short. FNV will really serve the need for new quests...
