I think he means most of his friends are in XboxLive and PSN. In my case, I have no friends in PSN but I have them all in Steam, Xfire and Teamspeak :-)

Far Cry 2 was great visually, but the gameplay was repetitious, boring, and tedious. Drive here, Drive there, clear the checkpoint again which we just massacred through a couple minutes ago.

(I think I'm gonna reinstall Far Cry again, which was a nice long game, but without the standard Aim-Down-Sights we see today).

This is encouraging news, and hopefully they stay true to the original game. There have been numerous attempts to "upgrade" the Jagged Alliance series but all of them had serious flaws, especially Artificial Intelligence and User Interface (one good example is "Mercenaries"). Since 1999 Jagged Alliance 2 is truly replayable in its original form or fan-based mods like Urban Chaos.

The only thing that concerns me is the apparent switch to real-time from t...

I cant't resist - may I add Canon/Nikon? :-)

I would agree Uncharted 2 looks gorgeous with its rich textures and fluid motion. I only bought and started playing it last week. While Uncharted's full motion video clips looked great, 2's FMV is way better.

In my opinion, Crysis still holds the top of the hill for graphics prowess. And that's only out of the box - there are some Mod's out there that even push the graphics beauty even further without sacrificing frame rate.

I am sorry buddy, but I disagree on one of your statements.

I own Black Ops on both the PC and PS3 (on a 55" LCD Samsung HDTV).

I can testify that the PS3 version will look jagged, blurry, and less detailed compared to the PC version if looked at the same TV using a DVI cable at 1920x1080 (that's the same as 1080p with TV jargon) resolution/8x Anti-Aliasing. The PC rendering is nothing short of "WOW". I have not even tried the recently ...

Suddenly I have the urge to play Crysis and Crysis Warhead one more time.

Gabe Newell is a guy with a Midas touch.

We don't get news like this anything related to the PC platform too often.

Marathon and Lightweight as two of the three top perks? Oh my Lord. I hate those players running around too fast without losing their breath (my idea of COD is just about shooting). In my opinion, those two perks should have been two options together in one tier.

I'm not surprised RC-XD is often used - it's just as easy to get as the spyplane.

Anyway, those are real large figures in that picture.

I disagree because the music for the old Medal of Honor was very memorable to yours truly, and I'm sure to all those who loved the game. Especially the main menu screen (war room) of Allied Assault. That track evoked a feeling of heroism and "history"
if you know what I mean.

Deus Ex was one of my most favorite games of all time. The game mechanics gave you lots of options on how to tackle an objective (guns blazing, or the stealthy approach), and how much augmentation you needed on each body part to suit your needs. While the AI was dumb, it was aggressive - that was enough to make you think about whether letting the guards pass or kill them by stealth or rush. Resource management was also balanced. Most of all the conspiracy theory story kept you coming back pla...

They could have meant "tenets"

I believe their is no PC demo because we PC Gamers already know what Crysis is. Crytek is pouring more resources to introduce the game to non-PC gamers who are just starting to notice Crysis.

Duke Nukem Forever almost took forever.

I can't believe Duke Nukem 3D was played mainly on the keyboard and no mouse - yet I managed to finish it. What was enjoyable when playing the 1996 game was hearing Duke's side comments.

I am excited for both.

I loved the first Crysis, and RAGE will be a new treat.

I am getting them mainly for the PC, simply because I am confident with the mouse and keyboard. I'm not really good with a controller (okay, struggling is the better word).

There's also Duke Nukem Forever (Homefront is wait and see), and Battlefield 3 - Oh my god, 2011 is becoming to be a total FPS year.

As a great fan of the first X-COM, I was very excited for Dreamland Chronicles, but sadly it never got released. Xenonauts looks promising though, and I'm keeping an eye out for that title.

Three developers for one game does not sound too promising. With new players in the franchise and with less than a year to go, I suspect they will only work on maps and weapons, and will not tweak/improve the engine. In other words, it's the same old game with a different skin.

I sense that Activision is grooming Treyarch to be the next A-1 developer for COD. MW3 would probably be an in-between title like World at War was, and Activision will bank more on the next COD T...

I disagree with the statement that nobody played Crysis on PC. No one should make any statements that is limited to their own personal experience (i.e., if one had passed the title for other things, it cannot be said that everybody else did the same thing).

It was a hit for the PC platform, and PC enthusiasts made it an unofficial benchmark to test out new hardware.

The main attraction to the first Crysis was the graphics, the fresh gameplay afforded by t...

Aha! After 15 years I'm still looking for that new X-COM fix and I would take a look at Xenonauts real good. Dreamland Chronicles was unfortunately cancelled by the Garret brothers and that would have been it.

The people who say the "writer is stupid, foolish, etc." do not know John Dvorak. He has more years and experience writing analysis on anything about the technology industry than all of us who just play games.
