Well there ARE people who want to sit at a desk and play games on a 20-inch screen, and they want it, yours truly included. Mostly these are people who were gaming when PC's were big in the late 80's to mid-2000's (and handed that enthusiasm down to their kids). Consoles were underpowered during that time and enthusiasts found more what they wanted in PC's. Some branched off to consoles, yours truly included. Those who didn't ride along tha...
Some blatantly use aimbots and never hide it because they like spoiling other people's fun - usually when one just headshots everybody every half second, the server will clear out very quickly. Other than that, it helps boost their stats.
For those who lack skill, they choose Wallhacks and No Recoil.
The other night I replayed a clip of a suspicious player in Black Ops and I saw him fire on a water tank in Radiation where two of my teammates were behi...
Players who run hacks to make things easy for them shows their outlook on life. They hate to take on a challenge. I hope they will be helpless in real life.
While I don't immediately cry "hack" when I smell something fishy in Black Ops server until I review the recent clips, I've caught quite a few definite indications of hacks, and one of them had no shame to even declare "Good Game" after each round. Hack players are either hungry for attention...
Innovation in the PC platform is important, be thankful they are still developing better things (or even pushing the boundaries) despite the perceived PC decline. Next generation console engineers will eventually have lots of options on what hardware to use. Then you'll have fun.
Edit: That guy on the right is the most photorealistic rendering I have ever seen to date. If he's animated in 100+FPS then we can have a clear picture (no pun intended) of what's in st...
Of course what adventurer with a feather cap couldn't forget the game? The path got even more dangerous when a player lke me only had a green monochrome monitor. Harharhar.
Edit: I didn't have an Amiga, but an IBM PC (8088).
Crysis and Crysis Warhead for $9.99...(12/28/10). Can't get cheaper than this from anywhere.
I bought this game for my nephew when it came out, but never got to buy it for myself. I got a used copy of this game yesterday to see how the series is, and I can say it's a fun game from the start. Nathan is a likable character. This should be a good single player experience.
I think because the majority of gamers like to have aim assist, and without it will have a negative impact on sales (i.e., complaints)
True. Directed and staged, too. Hmmm...Seems to be there's no prone. I did place my pre-order at Best Buy last weekend. Homefront and Crysis 2 will be released in the same month - so it's gonna be heavy on the wallet...or will make the wallet lighter however one looks at it.
There are other choices than COD - maybe the likes of Home Front, Crysis 2, or RAGE will fill the void left by COD. As long as there will be widespread acceptance to support a community (at least half of what COD has been enjoying) and longevity for the aforementioned titles (or any title for that matter), gamers can move on.
For example if, let's say, Crysis 2 will create lasting appeal and servers are widely populated everyday for a year or two, then COD won't be mi...
We got a PS3 for that, too.
There are so many old and new games in Steam to choose from. I don't know why they say we're a dying platform. The general public only sees the number of boxed titles in retail stores - the PC seems to be diminishing in that area, but there are tons to buy digitally at Steam or other digital distribution sites that it's overwhelming at times. Deus Ex collection now goes for $4.99 there - if anybody loved Deus Ex and want to play them again, it's the cheapest price you can pay ...
Consoles in the 80's were limited - almost all of the games were arcade, so developers moved to computers to take advantage of the extra power and memory to create RPG's, simulators, etc. Most developed for the Windows platform (a.k.a., PC) despite the potential of the Commodore 64 and Amiga.
When technology caught up for the consoles to become mainstream, it brought the gradual decline of the PC as the platform of choice for most of today's developers. Consoles ...
For a small LCD TV (21-32") the PS3 version looks good, but on a 40"+ like mine the graphics look coarse, grainy, and jagged (but colorful). I can really notice because I am mainly playing on PC but I bought a PS3 copy to start working on my controller skills, which I admit I am very much of a novice.
I've been playing FPS on PC's from the start so I feel at home with the Mouse and Keyboard...
Yesterday I had the urge to branch out to console FPS - I've been wanting to do this for a long time and I thought Black Ops would fit the bill because of Combat Training, which will help me stay out of the real multiplayer (but I still jumped in on multiplayer anyways - I could not help it).
I'm such a newbie with the stick... I almost always over co...
Last time I heard the default buttons were changed, not L3 to aim anymore but L1 now, right?
What if Big Brother was watching? jk
Sorry, raztad, this is not PC footage - if you check one of the uploader's other videos, he has one that shows starting COD:BO in Xbox360. He's more than likely running a leaked copy of the game, because he was not connected to Xbox Live.
The footage is fun to watch. There looks to be some real recoil, which can be challenging.
This map also seems bare, reminds me of the Simpsons gun game Mod for COD4 LOL.
Anyway, a little more than...
If this game customization extends to the dedicated server configurations, then this is excellent. I dunno if this is only limited to private matches though(or unranked servers for PC) but only two days to find out. For server admins who try to create their own game mechanics and find it difficult to enforce them, this will be a godsend. (i.e., no grenade launchers and RPG's, no C4's, etc.)
The Playstation was featured before it launched in the PC Gaming magazine Computer Gaming World (I still have the copy), and it said a lot of good things about it. I didn't have my own PS (I ended up buying one for my cousin - go figure), I was into PC Gaming with a Pentium 166Mhz, and I wondered why the PS graphics rendering was so smooth compared to my PC especially Gran Turismo (turned out, I didn't have a graphics accelerator card). There were so many good Playstation games those...
