What important content did they cut? I only recall added stuff.
The prison scene was replaced by Aerith's room, but the prison is still there...Her room is actually an embelished cell, which there are many others, but that goes to show they only keep special prisoners there. Which makes sense, it's a business building, not a prison.
Nah, I just hope it's good. If they make a World Map or not, I don't really care, just make it work.
"Dreams and Retural and Demon Souls and Sack Boy and Destruction All Stars and Astro Bot".
You know what's funny... None of those are cinematic third person games. I guess Uncharted and The Last of Us were so big that most people only remember Sony for it.
Looks great. Will keep an eye on it.
Some of these would be nice for story purposes, but gameplay-wise they are almost all replaced by other people, such as Michelle > Julia.
Only women? A guy came forward and said even he was subjected to harassment plus his wife at company parties. Sickening.
I mean… it’s a massive free (mostly) single player game, what did u expect?
PS Gamer here and not opposed at all. Love Hades.
Makes me wonder what you think of actual gaming equivalents to Transformers like CoD and Resident Evil 6.
My bad. Companies buying companies is not capitalism. I stand corrected.
Well, it makes sense right? More licenses, servers, etc. Of course the prices are going to rise.
If you go by your description of Lara, most people would not recognize Bayonetta or 2B either. Certainly not my grandmother. If that is what defines an iconic character, they should definitely not be on that list. They should've probably looked at other female characters like maybe Kitana, Samus or Jill Valentine, or, maybe of a cheat, even Harley Quinn, considering that her video-game look was so popular it actually went on to be her default look everywhere.
Yep. Tifa is probably the most popular (at least outside of Japan, pretty sure Aerith is more popular over there), but Aerith is definitely the most iconic from FF7. Her death still resonates with everyone and her face is what you first and last see in the original game.
Well, that's capitalism. China is an economic juggernaut, and by capitalism rules, that is something (sadly).
Oh man, I heard this one was a good entry point since it kinda tells a new tale. And it really caught my eye. Guess I’ll have to wait.
English version?
The Japanese are very strict with their business. Xbox would be sold before Sony no doubt.
My issue with FF sequels is that they introduce so much new s*** that it barely looks like the world and lore of the original. You end up scratching your head thinking “where the hell was this powerful magic/ability/enemy that can destroy the world and everyone seems to know about during the previous game?”. If they can somehow keep it simple and remember why FFX was so good to a lot of people, this could actually be good. But… I wouldn’t keep my hopes up.
It wasn’t a budget title. It was considered one of the five new, big flagship titles called “Capcom Five” by Capcom themselves. The failure of all five titles (under Mikami) was so big, he left Capcom. You thinking PN03 was a budget title goes to show how disappointing it was.
Yep. I actually think the original was much more linear during Midgar. Remake has a lot of side content that you can do that really makes the city feel alive, plus several Materia and items out of the beaten path.
