It's a game. About gods and monsters. No realism needed. Not everything needs something to say or celebrate anything. Black people don't need to be protagonists or exist at all in media only when the game revolves around race. A game can be just a game.

Regarding the nomenclatures: Remasters usually keep the same old game engine (or port everything as it was to a new one) with some graphical/control updates. Remakes usually are a big overhaul and rebuild a game from the ground up on a new engine, even if they end up extremely similar to the old one (Shadow of the Colossus).

I was going to ask about the combat. Berseria, Abyss, Symphonia and Destiny (the DC one) were rather fluid, but I felt that this one was a bit stiff while playing the demo. Specially with the ranged characters. ):
I like both. Slightly prefer Joel, but really like Abby too. I'd actually say I like Ellie the least, but very small margin.
