Dunno. Played violent games for years now and have yet to kill someone or think that violence is normal.
@garos82 It’s a videogame. Stop pretending it’s a big deal.
Cool.
She is attractive, but exactly like Claire, yes. Jill was always more cool and collected, almost stoic. She was also very girly girl, not kind of a tomboy, like Claire…
Then I guess you won’t be very excited.
First one was pretty good, but too much on the nose with the LGBT angle (no issues with it at all, but for a game based on choice it kinda seemed you made the wrong one if you didn't choose to hook up with Chloe rather than Warren, for example), Chloe was mildly annoying and the "save Chloe" ending is atrociously bad, Jesus.
Second one was a borefest. The spin-off with Chloe is equally tedious, albeit Rachel is a nice character and kinda of makes up for it.
...
Good read, an 100% agree. The sense of isolation in the earlier Tomb Raider games was very palpable, like something really bad was about to happen at any time.
If we go by influential outside the videogame medium, than Samus is an absolute no-no. Lara yes, Peach most likely, maybe even Ms. Pac-Man. Faith no, Jill no (she is shafted even in the RE movies to the point that even the casual audience of those movies might not remember who she is). Chun-Li yes (arguably, Cammy as well), Princess Zelda or Sarah Kerrigan are particularly recognizable, less Zelda by appearence, but surely by name, and a toss between the three MK leading ladies: Kitana, Sonya...
Abby? 'Cuz I would too. Her influence is so great that people can't be indifferent towards her at all.
Miku loses point for regressing all plot development in V from III. Plus the incest thingy. Aya Brea and Heather are great, tho.
Came here to say that
Hmmm. I actually disagree with this opinion. I feel that the best Survival Horror games are more well balanced around the flight or fight response. Outlast is basically just flight, which can get frustrating and repetitive rather quickly. I feel that Alien Isolation (in the higher difficulty settings) is a good example. Also, I prefer third person horror games, but this is a very minor gripe.
Was about to say that. It could probably be better with more manpower and a higher budget, but you could argue the same about most indie games, tho. Hellblade comes to mind.
Who said anything about females being written badly? Nomura doesn't know how to handle females, he has a very bad track record with female protagonists and he basically ruined Aya Brea in The 3rd Birthday. There is nothing wrong with female characters, per se.
People expect too much out of her, IMO. She was always intended to be a side character, and that is what she is. Even worse that she is a female in a Tetsuya Nomura game. He is pretty bad with female characters. (Nothing inherently wrong with it, though) Just accept it and move on.
Graphics look a bit rough around the edges, but they have a lot of time to polish it up (plus it's just a teaser). Gameplay looks very, very fun and animations are very smooth, felt every impact as well. Overall vibe reminded me of John Wick, KATE, Kill Bill and Atomic Blonde. Keeping an eye on it!
Well, it is to them.
Man, this game will have a hard time in China with the new "no e-boys allowed" politics. Yikes.
There is: don't buy.
