I hope they make it fun... The issue with these types of games is that eventually people become so competitive and try hards that all the fun goes down the drain. My dream asymmetrical horror game would be one that the killer really has to earn the last kill and the survivors really have to earn a perfect escape, in a game that is much more focused on rewarding cooperation and the killer's ability not in killing everyone, but in making a great narratively horrifying experience for the oth...
@Imalwaysright Are you serious? I'm not sure anymore.
Is this a real argument? Black X succeeded so racism does not exist nor can it be aimed at someone or something else?
It doesn't matter the age consent. What matters is that Mary Sues can get any guy or girl they want, because they have "it", no matter their appeareance or their age. Mary Sues are also not without the need of help, the most famous ones needed help one time or another. Mary Sues are special for no reason, can get whatever guy or girl they want, are leaders despite having no real leadership skills and etc. Joker fits it all. Makoto should never be second in command, she should be...
@Inverno I love Joker and Persona 5, but... Joker is not a Mary Sue? The guy can get any girl he wants, even a teacher and other older women by basically looking like any nerdy TikToker. He has powers much greater than his friends that are basically handed to him as "the chosen one". He also gets to be the leader while basically being mute, even though there are much more intelligent people with evident leadership qualities in his team such as Makoto.
All games are.
Good ending. It was also quite poignant, IMO. It treats humanity as both: a hero and a villain.
@Rynxie ... Wat? Humans need to eat as well, yet I never see Leon eating in Resident Evil, or peeing, or drinking water, for all that matter. He is never tired or needs to rest. In many RPGs the same characters are at the same place and the time of day is fixed no matter how much you play, this is true for several Final Fantasies, some of the best games ever. In Elden Ring the character doesn't poop, he/she actually never talks, even though people talk to he/she. Hell he/she hardly even s...
All are first person hide and seek games or walking sims. I miss the third person horror games quite a bit.
@Pete Nah. Developers usually are very upfront when a game has failed to meet expectations, most of the ones you mentioned (not all, because not all of them failed) were directly stated by their developres to have underperformed in sales, Alien Isolation, Control and Days Gone have not failed on that regard.
Several games today, regardless of performance, are available for free in more than one "free" platform, may it be PS Plus, Now, GamePass or as one-time give ...
Control, Days Gone and Alien Isolation actually sold very well. Control is considered a success by the developer. As for Days Gone and Alien Isolation: Days Gone was considered a "flop" not because of sales, but because of little award potential, same with Alien Isolation.
Also, if you are considering every game a failure for being SP and not selling millions upon millions, you can probably say the same about any and every MMORPG, MOBA and GACHA that are not FFXIV...
Debatable. Squaresoft has more flops under their belt.
This game is not targeted to children, Nintendo is giving an option so that a few youngsters (not children) can play this game, which is fair enough. Not sure where LGBT fits in this subject, tho.
Always count on Russia to ruin stuff
Why stop there? Have you seen the middle east? Or the shit that happens in Africa? There's bad stuff going on everywhere everyday, just because someone is supporting one cause or one cause is on the forefront doesn't mean that they don't care about the rest or that it doesn't matter. Terrible argument.
Hardly a feat, it's just a black box.
Imagine someone playing a game about war for entertainment while there are real wars and people suffering for it. Imagine someone playing GTA when there are daily victims of theft, shootouts, drugs and/or urban violence. The list goes on and on.
As long as people can differentiate a game from reality, it's OK.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 already had this concept of going inside someone's mind, it's the main theme, actually. 7 did it too, with Ethan, Zoe and Jack sharing some sort of conscious mental state to have full conversations, which was a hint of what was to come in 8: the mold is actually some sort of hive mind.
8 has attacking dolls, a giant fetus and everything, it fits with a virus/mold/whatever messing with Ethan's mind. Hallucinations are not "superna...
I feel like most of the games just create these now for a quick buck. They make up the stuff as they go. They expect you to pay for a Season Pass or a Special Edition with no info on what comes with it, and most of the time it's so lackluster it's not worth it.
Ukraine backed out of joining NATO and conceded to several of Russia's demands. Russia decided to change their tune and invade Ukarine anyways: " oh, actually this was about fascism, all along". As if Russia isn't one of the countries with most fascists around. Jesus Christ.
