It's not really an expansion. I enjoyed ODST as much as most other top games this year.
I definitely bought more PS3 exclusives this year, but the 360's lineup isn't as bad as some people are trying to make it out to be.
For my PS3 I bought: Killzone 2, Infamous, Uncharted 2
For my 360 I bought Halo ODST, Left4Dead 2, Forza 3
and there were a couple other games on both consoles that I wanted to buy but didn't get around to.
To me I don't see the huge difference that people are talking about. The PS3's was better, but not THAT...
E74 has never happened to me or any of my friends. It seems to be a relatively rare problem. Probably even rarer than the YLOD.
Nah, I think the problem is dead and the media and certain fanboys still try to keep it alive.
Well, all I can say is that nobody that I know that has bought a 360 in about the past year has had any hardware problems. The newer ones seem to be very reliable.
This is ridiculous. The term "console exclusive" has been an accepted concept in the gaming world for ages. Why are people trying to change that now?
Besides, directly or indirectly Microsoft benefits if there is a proliferation of the PC/Windows platform due to gamers wanting to play games on the PC.
For people without a gaming capable PC it doesn't really matter anyway, since our choice is down to whether a game is on the 360 or the PS3 or the Wii. Thi...
Yep, ReBurn, that argument is so transparent. It's obvious why they try to make it.
If all these people really bought all these games on the PC the PC versions would be outselling the 360 versions, not the other way around.
PC game articles are ghost towns, yet we are supposed to believe all these people are really PC gamers?
In any case, the term "console exclusive" has been recognized in the gaming industry for ages, why is it only PS3 gamer...
That's a weak excuse. Getting closer to reality does not always result in the most enjoyable games. The basic fact stands, having more players does not always result in a more enjoyable online experience.
I love Killzone 2 and I play it a lot because they made it work and it is great fun. But having more players doesn't necessarily equal a better or more fun game. I can honestly say I enjoy Uncharted 2 online every bit as much as Killzone 2 (maybe more) and it has a 5 vs 5 player count.
MAG has more players than any other game has ever tried and I didn't particularly like the beta. I will definitely give it another shot when it comes out, but beta impressions weren't all that g...
LOL at the people who disagreed with Bungie. I guess the guns aren't super cool and the multiplayer isn't worth loving and it doesn't feel like a real war. :0
He said nothing but positive things and some of you still construe it as stealth trolling. Stealth trolling is when you say one or two good things about something and then go on to say a bunch of negative things just because you think you made yourself seem neutral because of your positive comments.

Absolutely. Killzone 2 is a huge improvement over its predecessor in almost every way. Guerrilla did a great job.
Mass Effect 2 is going to be epic.
Xi, that was funny. ;) Bubbles.
Sony have done a tremendous job supporting the PS2 and that has allowed it to remain relevant even in today's market. Great job Sony.
But that really is a fantastic deal.
Very true. The competition is good for everybody.
But you can't play sales.
I don't know why you are even saying that. I played games on my PS3 and my 360, so there were definitely games for both systems in 2009.
Indeed, it is truly amazing how well the PS2 has continued to sell. I am also surprised to see that the lifetime sales of the Wii in North America isn't too much greater than the sales of the 360.
That makes no sense at all. Natal is coming out next year, so why would they drop support of the 360?
In any case, I think that it is ignorant to assume that because Microsoft moved support to the 360 so soon that they will do it again for their next console. There were very specific reasons why they did that and the situation is completely different this time.
I think we have another two years before the next Xbox comes out and even then I bet Microsoft will conti...
Yes, but comparing exclusives is even more pointless, because then you are comparing different developers, with different skill levels, different budgets, different development times, and so on.
You can't glean much from a comparison of exclusives because there is no fair baseline from which to compare from. You really just end up comparing the different talents, budgets, game engines and development times, rather than comparing the actual power of the consoles themselves.
