That's because most of the fanboy fanatics are the ones who are so concerned with posting articles defending their console of choice and criticizing the other consoles. Level headed people often don't care as much. They might contribute, but that is a personal choice and is not at all a requirement to be part of the discussions here at N4G.
It does have good anti-aliasing. I can't believe what nonsense some people speak. You just know that they have never played the game.
BTW, lots of Xbox 360 games have anti-aliasing.
It's true, Halo Reach does look quite a bit better than Halo 3.
Also, I hope you don't expect Killzone 3 to look way better than Killzone 2. It will probably look a little better, but don't expect it to be a big jump.
I respectfully disagree. You have got to be crazy to think that Sony would allow Microsoft to have more than a year start. In fact, they probably don't even want to allow Microsoft to have a full year head start this time. If Microsoft come out with a new console in a year or two I will bet that Sony won't be far behind.
Now, that might end up giving the PS3 another 3 years as the main Sony console like you said, but I don't think you can sensible claim "...
I can virtually guarantee that no console will go digital only. It simply wouldn't be feasible at this point in time.
That's not true. I don't know anybody that has bought an Xbox 360 recently that has had it fail on them. It really does seem the problem has been eradicated. Of course there will always be a few people that encounter problems, just as there are with the PS3, but I don't see any signs of it being above normal levels.
Umm..I like my PS3 and my 360 and after so much time has past I really don't care which one sells more than the other. I thought it was already clear that both consoles have proved themselves and will be around for the long haul.
I love my PS3, but you are an embarrassment. Fanboys like you are souring gaming.
Why oh why did they have to get rid of the open zone? At least before we didn't have to listen to crazy fanboys like you.
I'm with TheBand1t, I would love to see Killzone 3 at E3. I'm not going to get my hopes up, but I loved Killzone 2 and I can't wait to see what Guerrilla do for part 3.
Media Molecule are awesome and so are Sony Santa Monica. That's one thing I think Sony does much, much better than Microsoft: they are smart enough to invest in quality companies and give the the resources they need to make super high quality games.
Having to seek out health packs does take a little getting used to, but I'm sure everybody will adapt to it over time.
I do agree with you that the new controls are better.
I agree with both of you. What they have added is not a perk system to me in any sense.
I am loving the beta. Some people are just not comfortable with change.
It's funny though, if Halo doesn't change significantly you get people complaining that it hasn't changed enough, but when they do make a few significant changes you get some people complaining that it has changed too much and that they are going back to Halo 3. Amazing! It seems you ...
By the same token the fanboys on the other side simply say reviewers who give the game high scores have been bought off, while any low score is held up as the truth.
The fact is, the vast majority of the scores for Alan Wake have indicated it to be a high quality game well worth the price of admission.
Indeed. I think Alan Wake has turned out to be an amazing game. I like your avatar by the way.
It must be a conspiracy! *puts on tinfoil hat*
foreverflame, you are being a big fanboy. Quit acting like the graphics are horrible. They are very high quality and have a very captivating quality about them.
As to you other two, I think you guys are also exaggerating. LBP2 does not look better than Halo Reach. And so far I don't see much of a leap over the first LBP either. I need to see more of it, but just the screenshots we have seen so far don't look all that different than the first game. That's the...
The lighting in God of War 3 isn't deferred, but some of the shadowing apparently is, according to a Eurogamer article I read. But I am not sure how that works. I'm not sure which one is better, but I do agree that the lighting in Killzone 2 is utterly amazing. Then again, the lighting in GOW3 is also truly amazing.
That is a great score. I have a feeling I will agree with those reviewers who scored it towards the top of the scale more than those who scored it a little lower.
Hahaha, if anybody really thinks that, they are morons.
Many games see similar kinds of scores. Uncharted Drake's Fortune, one of my favorite games of all time, is one that springs to mind.
Obviously we don't all agree that it is a sub-par gaming experience. That's circular reasoning. I mean, they say it's a sub-par gaming experience and ask why one would want to subject yourself to that, but clearly some of us will play it because we DON'T think it is a sub-par gaming experience.
