I don't agree at all. Halo has never seemed cartoony to me. It's style is sci-fi. Having a little color does not make something cartoony.
Anyway, Halo Reach looks outstanding to me. Graphically and in terms of new gameplay elements it all looks amazing.
MGS4 is 1024x768 which is 135,168 pixels less than 720p yet it still looks great. In fact, its subHD resolution doesn't stop many people from calling it one of the best looking games of the generation.
Alan Wake looks fabulous regardless of whatever its native resolution is. As I have said before, resolution has probably the smallest impact on the visual quality that we perceive.
Why is he not allowed to give his opinion? People on the PS3 side do it all the time.
I like both consoles, I just despise the bias and double standards on this site.
I speak Spanish and it was a nice review. Alan Wake sounds like a really outstanding game. I am really looking forward to it with anticipation. It also looks fantastic. The graphics in those GIFs are some of the best I have seen in a while.
You must have problems with your eyesight, that's all I can say. If you cant see how high quality the graphics are in Alan Wake it is you who is blind.
Resolution is absolutely the last thing I care about in terms of a game's graphics. It makes the least impact of any graphical element.
MGS4 was well below 720p and it looked great. It really depends on the the techniques they use when upconverting the resolution to the final output.
So far everything I have seen makes me think the game will look gorgeous and that is what really matters: the final result. I don't care which techniques are used or how they get ther...
Yep, looks absolutely epic to me. Graphics are awesome too. I feel pretty confident that Reach will be something special.
Everybody knows they are talking about console exclusives in this context. Quit making an issue where there isn't one.
I prefer the PS3 overall, but there are quite a few games on the 360 that I absolutely love and wouldn't want to live without.
HDGamer, you're lame. Seriously. I suppose you think God of War 3 is realistic.
Sheesh, freakin fanboys!
Ahh I love GOW3...such a beautiful game.
That looks awesome.
Killzone 2 looks amazing and is a ton of fun to play. It is still one of my favorite online shooters. I am really looking forward to the third one.
Sorry, I don't put any stock in your opinion, The Real Killer. You hate anything on the Xbox 360.
Mass Effect 2 is by far one of my favorite games of all time.
Alan Wake has made good impressions on me for quite some time and I am really looking forward to it.
All the people in this thread trying to appear reasonable and acting like they are neutral gamers just calling for a little constraint are really big hypocrites. Whenever positive news comes about a PS3 game, no matter how remote the game is from release, I never see these people try to play it down. Quite the contrary, they play it up as much as they can. These people have an ...
Halo Reach is looking fantastic.
The PS3 is my preferred platform, but all the people saying Alan Wake can never measure up to PS3 games are morons, plain and simple.
Alan Wake, in fact, looks amazing and is easily in the running for best console graphics.
What is this absurd obsession with game resolutions?
Resolution has probably the smallest impact on the visual quality of the games we play. MGS4 was sub-HD, as was Halo 3, and neither of them suffered because of it. I have compared them to other full 720p games and I don't think the resolution makes any significant difference. Neither of them look appreciably "soft", "fuzzy" or lacking in definition.
I'm not saying that resolution doesn't ma...
Wait, how do you know that?
Killzone 2 was awesome, but it would have been even better with vehicles.
Gears of War is a great franchise and it undeniably has left its mark on the gaming world.
I agree, AAACE5. I am so excited for Halo Reach.
